Seashell Restaurant on 79th — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

When I first came into this restaurant I was asked 6 times by someone can I buy them some food. The restaurant wasnt clean and the cashier was rude. I ordered the 2 for 9 chicken sandwich deluxe with no lettuce and tomatoes and a Italian beef dipped with cheese no hot peppers on and a order of fries. I stayed in the restaurant the entire time while my food was being cooked and I noticed when my chicken sandwich was done and he took it out the grease with tongs and started walking around with the chicken patty and then he went behind some corner with it and placed it wrapped up on the table and the Italian beef he placed wrapped up too on the table. The cashier had told him your missing French fries to the cook. The cook had on gloves while making all my food its just when he had to get my French fries he used his hands to grab my fries while there was tongs sitting right by the french fries. I asked for a refund and I was able to get a refund...

I purchased two gyro sandwiches.ticket # 88,oct.15th at 6:43 pm (take-out.) Location at 601 e 79th st. The gyro was was dry but edible; Taziki sauce was a little runny. My wife became ill after approximately seven minutes... Bloat,gas,vomiting and abdominal pain. Tuesday,October 16,3:45pm, With receipt in hand, addressing the same cook, I expressed that he should make sure that the meat is fresh and 86 the sauce(stop serving it) 86, ?? he didn't know Restaurant lingo. Did he respond "thank you sir, I'll look in to it.Nooo! He became super defensive and trying overtalk me. I told him that I could have reported this to the City Of Chicago Department Of Health. I've patronized them many other times...never a problem. There are certain rules regarding complaints,he followed none of them...

I'm so disappointed with this location on 79th now. First a couple of weeks ago the cashier/server got my order wrong. But the owner did rectify it when I called and told him the problem. So today I get a 2 for $7.99 2pc Tilapia and 3pc whole chicken wings. When I tell you the fish was horrible I kid you not. No favor at all. The wings were hard. I called and someone claimed to be a Manager. When I explained the situation she stated that the fish doesnt get seasoned No like salt or pepper. I dont do the Lemon Pepper .Who wants to eat unseasoned fish unless you're a Diabetic or has High Pressure. She offered to have the cook make something else for me.
