We experienced probably the worst service and treatment that ever should be expected at a fast food drive through. We order large drinks with the meals. The girl at the pay window was taking orders and handling change at the same time. So our large drinks got entered as a medium and a large. It was supposed to be two large for the two teenagers. Multitasking is not a skill. By doing two things at the same time neither has your full attention. We got to the pickup window to be handed a large and a medium. I told the girl that the medium was also supposed to be a large. She told me that it was rung up as a medium and if I get a large she would have to upsell me and I would have to pay the extra. I informed her that it was their mistake and she needed to make it right and I asked to speak to her manager, who never showed. According to the teenager who is an ex employee of Macdonald's she poured the medium drink into a large cup and filled the cup with ice. Magically we had our large drink. I was in disbelief that a simple employee error could be so difficult to fix at the largest, worst fast food restaurant in the world. I was thrown out of a McDonald's in Tallahassee Florida for not wearing a mask and the others enjoyed their mask less meals without me as I waited outside as the slave that didn't immediately comply with the managers demands. McDonald's may be the biggest but they are certainly not the best. I never eat there. But the people I go there with do enjoy the expensive meals. Over Twenty dollars...
   Read moreSeeing as I used to work here and they seemed to work with the customer this visit seemed to be a bit shocking. The problem was that the guy asked if we wanted large meals and we said yes and came through he asked if we had the quarter pounders. We paid and went to the next window when the girl tried to give us medium drinks. We said that they should have been large and she said that they were rung up as medium. After a banter back and forth she got her shift manager who said the same thing and I said that we said large meals. After a bit she closed the window and yelled to employees that the next customer gets what they pay for. The food was great and we ended up getting the drinks we expected, but there was no apology or anything. I know morning crew with Collete, Nikki, and Rena always runs fluidly. When I worked there Kim and Thomas both would have been appalled. I completely understand keeping track of what goes through the window but I would never expect to be treated in this way when again it should be rung up and verified. After having been a handful of times, here's my conclusion: The orders and food are mostly correct, and most have the distinctive McDonald's taste (in a slightly blander capacity). Not everything is necessarily hot to the temperature you might be used to. The interior isn't clean to the usual McDonald's standard.
HOWEVER: The staff were all very kind, and made pretty extraordinary efforts to make sure I was attended to. When they were out of a certain product, they were very generous and accommodating about their substitutions. With the tornado that recent hit the McDonald's, and the general staffing crisis in the area, I think it's important to give this McDonald's a little bit of grace in its imperfect comparison to some other cookie-cutter McDonald's locations.
