YARDS TAPHOUSE — Restaurant in Idaho Springs

We had our wedding rehearsal here and came here to celebrate at night after our wedding reception at Echo Mountain. We all loved it so much that we came back here again the night after our wedding with all of our guests who were still in town. It is in a perfect location (we all were able to walk from where we were all staying throughout Idaho Springs and walk here after getting Beau Jos and going to other restaurants, shops, and markets downtown). We love that you can bring your own food (and one good & convenient option is the popular BBQ place owned by the same family right across the street). The owners and all the other staff we encountered were so kind and they all went above and beyond for us and our guests - they seriously gave us the best experience ever. Even the locals we met there were the sweetest people and helped us celebrate. Yards will always have a special place in our hearts and we all hope to come back as much as possible forever! It is super dog-friendly, a great atmosphere for all, and serves a good variety of awesome drinks with incredible service (the touch tunes are always a bonus, too). Such a cute place! You're allowed to bring food in from surrounding local restaurants. Kid and well-mannered dog friendly, this has the feel of a "everyone is friends here" place. We were passing through from out of state, but welcomed in like old friends. We lovd sampling local craft beers and "people watching". Only one bartender on a Saturday night - somehow she made it look easy and attended to everyone with friendliness and grace. People called her "Suze", and clearly many are regulars. I'm a regular at Smokin Yards and love it. This was my first time at the taphouse, and I had a wonderful time. They have 35 craft lines, and most of them are from Colorado. However, the best part of our experience was a lovely beertender named Lima who made our visit unforgettable.
