I recently began my first juice cleanse, which consisted of six juices a day (one every two hours or so) for three days. My entire cleanse was customized to meet my personal goals and what I was seeking to achieve by starting a cleanse. I am a regular juicer, but I had never gone a full day with juice as my only source of nutrition.
The hardest part of day one wasn’t skipping breakfast. It was breaking the habit of my normal eating schedule. Prior to my first cleanse, I began my day with two over easy eggs and a small serving of hash browns almost daily. It felt strange to break my routine.
Let me add, I am NOT the type of person that skips breakfast, let alone my morning coffee! When beginning my cleanse, this was what I was worried about the most. I was surprised to find that my energy levels stayed the same, even increasing by my third day.
By day two, my old eating schedule didn’t seem to matter anymore. More than anything else, it was evident just how much swelling and inflammation I had lost in just those first two days of my cleanse. To be honest, I don’t think I realized just how much swelling and inflammation I had in my body until I saw myself without it.
Starting day three felt almost more like my regular routine than what WAS my routine before. Though weight loss was not the purpose of my cleanse, I did loose nearly six pounds. But in the end, what I found to be the most important was recognizing that something in my current diet pre-cleanse just is not agreeing with my body.
Though I am looking forward to reintroducing whole foods back into my diet over the course of the next week, I am already looking forward to my next cleanse! Thank you for the...
Read morePeople with allergies BEWARE. I had a very frustrating experience here... I ordered a smoothie, and instead of telling me they don't have those items anymore, they just ordered me something else without asking. When I got my item, I realized it was a bowl and asked what happened. The guy working the counter said, "This is just how we do things now." I was okay with getting a different item since they didn't have smoothies, but here's the frustrating part... I made sure to double check that there were no almonds in my product, as I am allergic (intolerant) to almonds. And the guy told me multiple times that my item did not have almonds. (I even asked him to go in the back and check with the person who made it. He came back and told me there were no almonds in my product.) Well, they lied to me. Then, when I complained that they gave me something with an item that I told them I was allergic to, they told me they didn't know. WHAT!? I am very adamant about making my allergies known, I checked with them multiple times, and I even made they guy go in the back to check. How could they not know? They knew about my allergies, they just didn't care. Anyways, I left with a very severe stomach ache and uncontrollable diarrhea. Needless to say, I won't be back. This place is not safe for people...
Read moreI recently visited Boise Juice Co., and I had a wonderful experience! The customer service was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the açaí bowls—they were delicious! I ordered the large size, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. It’s the first time I’ve felt so satisfied by an açaí bowl. The flavors were well-balanced, and the açaí base had a creamy texture that was simply delightful.
The attention to detail at Boise Juice Co. is impressive. The ingredients were fresh, and the toppings were plentiful. The combination of fruits, granola, and other toppings complemented the açaí perfectly, creating a tasty and satisfying treat.
If you’re a fan of açaí bowls or looking to try one for the first time, I recommend visiting Boise Juice Co. Their açaí bowls are great, and the friendly service adds to the overall experience. I’m already looking forward to...
