Gyro Shack — Restaurant in Idaho

It has been a few years since I have been to the Gyro Shack. I didn't have the best service the last time I came which was about 4 years ago. I wanted something quick that wasn't a burger or taco so I decided to give this joint another shot.

I have actually been here twice in a row. I was here yesterday as well. I remember I got a side Greek salad with my gyro one time and that's honestly what I wanted. It sounded like a clean and light lunch in this crazy summer heat.

I placed my order at the drive thru. Both times I was helped by some nice employees. I appreciate that they didn't make me feel like I needed to order more than I wanted. They both got my side salad ordered and I drove up to the window. Both times I was rang up and was given my bag with a great smile. I got my goods and was on my way to work.

The Greek salad is so good. I love the freshness of all the veggies. The feta and kalamata olives are my favorite part. The dressing that comes with it is light even though it's olive oil based. One side isn't enough, I'll have to grab two the next time I grab another salad.

I'm happy I have this joint another shot. They are conveniently on my way to and from work. It's a healthy and quick lunch. I look forward to my many salads in my future from this joint. It's my new summer...

Horrible.. gross. I had to repeated every detail of my order about 5 times and it was still incorrect.when I pulled up to the window, the employee who greeted me was wearing a crop top. I was kind of surprised that was . I’ve worked in the food industry before and that was never allowed. But hey, times change, you do you.. When I got my meal, Couldn’t even finish it. Ordered a falafel gyro (which I usually get and love!) the taziki sauce was all over on the outside of the pita.. the only pieces of lettuce that I was given was were the crunchy middle stem parts.. the falafel was all bunch up into one spot in the pita. I opened the pita, ate the falafel, and threw the rest away. I also ordered just some pita bread and hummus, their hummus shouldn’t even be called hummus. Tasted like straight up olive juice.. I took one bite and spit it out instantly. It’s like the blended up chic peas and mixed it with olive juice and called it hummus 🤢 I’m usually not a picky eater, I’ll eat anything.. but yuck! I will...

I love the people here I was walking along and just stopped for a Pepsi and started chatting and boy was I happily surprised at how cool the workers were they were responsive to other customers professionally and were very tasteful in there conversations It really made my day I had an old review but I deleted it for this one shout out to bailee and Joey two really great people that made me one happy shopper. I'm definitely going back for seconds the food taste great anyways I allways enjoy a good gyro. They are very tasty. Im not Shure what else reto say except if your looking for a great atmosphere friendly service and great food go to the gyro shack makes my day every time I go there that's what I've come to hope for and look forward to for a local shopping experience here in Boise.
