I have been coming here for many years and have been a long standing customer, who has seen and experienced many Starbucks partners. Many of whom, have been very good. Fast forward to today and the attitude of the younger generation needs an attitude check. They need to get over themselves and understand what customer service is all about. Hence, the poor review that I am now giving, because maybe it will wake them up. However, I will not hold breath.
Over the past week I have had two orders with a pumpkin cheesecake muffin and have specifically marked off on the mobile app “Not Warmed.” However, the muffin was warmed. It is not a huge deal or the end of the world, but when brought to staff’s attention, I expect not to get an attitude. It is simply brought to their attention, because they are obviously not paying attention to the order labels when received. I understand things get busy sometimes and mistakes are made, but when it is a mistake that is made consistently, it needs to be brought to one’s attention; especially when it was not during a busy time. Even if it was a busy time, things still need to be paid attention to, because it is all about customer service and that is what keeps customers. Something the younger generation needs to get in touch with and the attitude many of them have needs to be put in check.
I will add, the supervisor after talking with the partner, who gave the attitude and made the comment, “We read the labels” offered to replace the muffin with one that was not warmed, which is good customer service on the supervisor’s part, even though there was still a hint of attitude from them, as well.
And to the partner, who made the comment, “We read the labels.” You might want to rethink that, because if that were the case… Why did the mistake happen?
I can tell you why, it is because many of you do not pay attention. And I have experienced this many times over. I have had times where my mobile order sat at the drive-through window, because no one bothered to pay attention that it was an in-store mobile order and that information is printed on the label, as well. I have also had other times where things have been “Warmed” when the label clearly displayed, “Not Warmed.”
So, do not stand there and make the comment, “We read the labels,” because if that were the case, many of the mistakes that I have experienced at Starbucks many times over would not have been made. And because of the attitude, this is why now the review being given is being given. I’m done with the attitude of people today, because no one wants to take responsibility for anything.
Bottom line, the point to all of this; customer service is a lost art and the attitude many employees give across the board at many companies needs to change.
I have owned and run multiple businesses with employees throughout my career and customer service is always at the top of the list and if it is not, you...
Read moreStarbucks is best when its an actual Starbucks-owned location, not a subcontracted restaurant inside a grocery store, airport, etc. where the staff can't receive tips, are paid less than a Starbucks employee and have none of the Starbucks benefits.
Starbucks is also best when its at a location that has a moderate-to-heavy degree of traffic because the materials used by the staff (coffee, milk, tea, etc.) has a higher degree of replacement.
This Starbucks has both of those qualities along with being a new location, so you get probably the best Starbucks product you can and it shows. The staff are friendly as well, so overall you can't ask for more.
If you're going to Starbucks for artisan coffee, you need to recalibrate your expectations because you don't go to Starbucks for artisan coffee (there are better places downtown). In my opinion, the highest grade a Starbucks can receive is a 'B+', so you go to Starbucks for convenience and for a decent cup of coffee.
The only reason I docked a star is I'm not a fan of the white-heavy aesthetics. I'm more old school with Starbucks and enjoy the earth-toned colors of maroon, forest green, and brown that gives the environment a cozy coffee shop feel. The white marble walls, large windows, and lack of nooks, in my opinion, makes it feel too open, giving an exposed feeling inside. It feels like the architect of that location is a fan of the Apple aesthetic.
2020 COVID-19 Review (3/5 Stars): Health-friendly location, as all staff wore masks and customers are required to have masks as well. However, customers didn't wear masks while seated (so if they were shedding the virus via droplets, they were likely saturating the tables), and six feet of table space wasn't really there. Great take-out spot (inside or outside), but I would be wary of staying inside for too long if you're vulnerable to complications from being...
Read moreI really wish I didn’t have to waste my time writing this. But this store is a literal nightmare, they continually mess up my order and from what I see on other reviews this is a consistent issue. The customer service is nothing short of awful and the general experience here is almost never good. Today I was yelled at by an employee after calling tor a refund on my messed up order for “talking bad about her employees” while I was making excuses for why my drink is continually wrong, I was telling her “maybe you guys aren’t receiving the proper training and that’s not your fault (she cut me off before I could finish) I then tried to say maybe you’re understaffed right now and that’s also not your fault (she cut me off again) after continuing to battle me when I was literally trying to make excuses for the poor service and let her know I’m not blaming her for the issue, I eventually hung up and filed a complaint with corporate who WAS able to refund me over the phone. She claimed she couldn’t refund me over the phone due to policy which is ridiculous because because consumer rights require businesses to provide a reasonable refund for a customer with a defective product without the unreasonable burden of having to come in. This store really needs to work on some things and also letting customers call in and talk without being repeatedly interrupted and accused of saying something they didn’t. Maybe if you let me finish my sentence you would’ve understood I was trying to make reason why things are always wrong. I was never blaming you or the employees. Learn to listen instead of make assumptions based on what you think someone is saying. Not everyone calling in is calling to attack you but you sure thought it was your job to make me into a villain...
