Unfortunately I think we are done with Chicago Connection. They just don’t seem to care anymore. Prices have gone way up and service has become horrible. The last time we ordered it took 2.5 hours to get our food. Don’t bother calling because the line is always busy. It took 32 phone calls to finally get someone to answer. When the pizza did finally arrive, it was the wrong order. Guess what, the line was busy yet again. It took a total of 4 hours and 50 phone calls to finally get our correct order. I decided to give them another try tonight. I ordered one pizza and a side salad. I was told it would be delivered in 60 minutes. It’s been two hours and no pizza. And yet again the phone has been busy for the past 45 minutes. UNACCEPTABLE! We will be finding a new pizza place.
UPDATE: after 36 attempts of calling and getting busy signals, I finally reached someone. I was then put on hold for 13 minutes while he tried to locate the driver. We are now at 2 hours and 15 minutes and no pizza. It was literally ONE pizza and we live 5 miles from the store. After some haggling back and forth, I did finally get a refund. The driver did finally show up. The first words out of his mouth were sign this, as he shoved the debit card receipt in my face. When I told him I had spoken with management and he wasn’t charging, he said again that I needed to sign. I again told him that the Mgr said it was free because it had been over two hours. He muttered an explicit and gave me the pizza. Flipped me off as he walked away. The pizza was cold with rubbery cheese and a soggy crust. While I realize they are short staffed, this is about the fourth time now that it has taken forever to get our pizza and you can’t get anyone to answer the phone. As well as the quality has gone down. This isn’t a staffing issue. This is a management issue. Communication goes a long way. Perhaps when you tell a customer their order will be delivered in a hour, and you are unable to keep that promise, then call the customer, let them know the issue and offer to...
Read moreI had a wonderful dining experience here. I was hoping for a classic Chicago style deep dish pizza, and definitely delivered on my expectations !! Walking into a cozy, clean parlor was very relaxing. After being greeted by the prompt and cheerful waitstaff we had our cold, refreshing beverages within minutes. The menu offered a wide verity of pizza to choose from. As well a large selection of other items such as pastas and sandwiches. We chose to endulge on a large classic Chicago Combo with an order of BBQ wings. Helping ourselves to the huge, all you can eat salad bar. As we waited for our pizza to be slow cooked to perfection I noticed there was a pleasant outdoor patio you could sit at. It was such a nice day we asked the server if we could sit out there instead and she happily fulfilled our request. It wasn’t long before the pizza was delivered from the kitchen, where the magic happens, hand made by the excellent cooks. Piping hot, fresh out of the oven and still in it’s deep pan. A nice touch to keep the pie hot while we sip down our drinks, talking and relaxing in such a pleasant atmosphere. After our meal we left fully satisfied, all ready discussing what we will try next time we come here to enjoy another exquisite...
Read moreI had read some reviews they sounded decent so I decided to try this place. Some young kid answers the phone like he's annoyed im calling. I'm immediately put off but not enough to hang up. (Definitely should have!!!) As I'm trying to tell him where I'm located he's carrying on a side conversation and asks me to repeat the same information over and over again (3+ times)
I asked this guy about their menu and the kid seemingly even more annoyed now that I called at all started answering me with one word answers. No help... Great thanks....
Delivery took 2 hours and when I called to see where my order was their phone system went down or something... Never again!
Update: My friend ordered a pizza from this place last night (without my knowledge as I would’ve definitely talked him out of it) and it took 2 1/2 hours before some guy showed up with a medium pizza in a large box. Pizza wasn’t in a warmer and was cold. I took one bite and knew exactly where he ordered it from....
Whoever is running this place is completely incompetent.
How hard can it really be from a logistical standpoint to fry some cheese on bread...
