Q's Billiards & Eatery — Restaurant in Idaho

I've been to Q's quite a few times and for the most part I like the atmosphere, the tables are nice, the food is great and the beer is pretty good while being cheap, but there is a serious staff problem that on several occasions has ruined my time and has now prevented me from returning until they get a handle on their staff. Plenty of times the customers are more polite than the staff and another thing that sucks is trying to get the bartender's attention even on a slow day. In my own experience the last time I went to Q's on a wednesday afternoon at about 3, the server (katelyn) took our order and gave my fiance a drink and forgot to get me mine, she went back and sat down to hangout with people and never came back till my fiance informed her of my drink order; then at the end the bill was less than $10 and as far as I am aware 20% is a great tip amount so we gave her a little more than 20% despite her attitude and drink mistake. Then she saw her tip she complained about it to everyone in the bar and said with anger in her voice "those kids must of never worked a day in their lives." To sum it up, Q's would be a great place and I would love to be a loyal customer if they get their act together on their staff, but until then my friends and I are changing our regular pool hall bar over to The Pocket. (Note: there are a few nice staff and servers at Q's but I'm tired of the 50/50...

It's close to my home so that's a plus. I enjoy smaller bars with decent priced drinks, pool, internet jukeboxes and friendly atmosphere. If that's what you're looking for than Q's is a great place to go. There's pool (free all day Wednesdays), darts, a few video games like Big Game Hunter and Pin Ball, also electronic Pull Tab machines, an Internet Jukebox, three 80" TV's that feature sports on mute. There's is an outdoor patio for smokers and they allow vaping inside, though not many people take advantage of this, so it's not overly "smoky". There's some Google questions that said Q's had poker, snooker and foosball, they do not. They did YEARS ago, but not anymore.

The only reason I'm rating 3 stars instead of 4 or five, is the service isn't that great. It's taken upwards of several minutes to get served at the bar, the bartender will serve regulars first before serving others that were waiting there first, even if the bartender sees you were there first. The bar back will quickly clear your table but neglects to ask if you want...

OK so dive bar crawl - did alone last weekend. I am from Texas, so I know these bars.

It’s really big. The staff was attentive. Not the stiffest drinks and they serve food - doing us all a favor. I tried their dollar burger or whatever I wasn’t to hungry and it was just what the doctor ordered. Hot quality grub and this is something I can’t say about other places except maybe that one west of downtown across from McDonalds in a gas station.

This place is a pool bar with good food but the customers are it’s real downfall if there is any. Can’t describe it other than a weird vibe might be a place that’s changing cause if the neighborhood changing. Another thing is it’s cash only which isn’t necessarily a problem, but when you have one bartender and they have to cash out at every drink, it does take more time to get your next one. So be patient or order 2 at the same time....
