Hardee’s — Restaurant in Illinois

I had given up on Hardee's a while back as the quality of the only two items I would ever order began to swiftly go downhill. While refueling I impulsively decided to give the station's Hardee's breakfast menu a try.

That was probably the worst decision I made that day! I went for a simple sausage maple biscuit that I could eat during my commute. The biscuit was more like an overdone cookie throughout! There was nothing fluffy about any part of it! The sausage may have been warm at one point (it was cooked, at least), but it was cold by the time I received it!! Not even room temperature. COLD! It was around 7:00 in the morning so I had a helluva time wrapping my mind around the notion that my breakfast sandwich was neither warm nor fluffy, as advertised! I was almost convinced that I had received someone's leftovers from earlier in the week, but I have no way to prove that!

How does this even happen at ANY place defined as a restaurant?! The kitchen didn't appear to be overwhelmed. The restaurant was clean. The cashier was friendly. For what the item cost I guess I was expecting some sort of quality. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I hate to be crass, but I am more disappointed than angry at this point. It was a complete waste of a wait AND my money as the product I received was not even close to its listed value! And it was not worth the employees' efforts to allow something like that to leave the kitchen and actually make it to a customer's hands! This is just one small item, but it makes me hesitate to ever go back.

Maybe this is a store issue and not a chain issue. I am certainly not trying to trash the store's reputation, but this is something that is hopefully addressed for the sake of any future hungry customers.

I stopped by Hardee's this morning 8:00 in the morning there was nobody inside I went inside two people were standing at the counter with their back to me looking into the kitchen and they were talking amongst themselves about something and just staring in the kitchen I guess they're waiting for food or something but I still there for at least 5 minutes and then I shot it out to the guy I said how much are the Ribeyes and he says turns around and says what I said how much is a Ribeyes he says 6:35 with tax I said okay then and he turns back around and he starts talking with this other lady there again ignoring me again there's nobody in the store so I waited a little bit longer I just turned around and walked out they aren't worth minimum wage let alone $15 an hour I mean I'm just standing there and they're ignoring me that's not right Mayfield Kentucky is terrible for fast food they're out of stock a lot of times and then when they are in stock they just they don't want to do their job for some reason they bicker today is September 27th this was at 8:00 in the morning prime time these questions you're asking me at the bottom is mute I left with nothing

The store waa in a great location friendly staff,walked in on fatigued or rather folks who seservwd a 15 minute break or more. I get alternative truths does EXIST in business that says open 24 hrs. I get it that there is change of cashiers mid shift. What i did not appreciate and am sure because i was tired after an OTR vacation ,drove for approx 8hrs before stopping here to eat🥲 Patience was not my virtue this day but i thinl the store owner or franchise owner can DO SOMETHING different . It is expected to wait ,but be clear on how long 10 minutes is!! BET my timing was poor ,after a long trip with hubby,we stopped here during what we determined was "10minutes" change of drawers,or end of shift ,it took forever But Honesty is paramount to maintaining fatigued hungry clients😆 So how about be Clear,We are closed,it should take 10 minutes ,but it may be Longer than that!!!!! I mean we get it!!! They may be short staffed or fatigued employees and during the 10 minute break they deserve a fresh breath of air,may be an additional 30 minutes BREAK TIME,or just to move around go outside,get off their feet during their SHIFT.. However the enthusiatic hungry travellers also need to Know the truth,We will be totally fine ,if served with that. We had to go dinner IT WAS WORTH...
