Mozarelli Artisan Bistro — Restaurant in Imperial

Went last Sunday the 31st arrived at 1145 am. Ordered a cauliflower pizza 3 sandwiches and a big salad. Friends had driven in from San Diego on my recommendation for this place. First out was the pizza, then the salad 30 minutes later and finally one sandwich at the 1 hour and 10 minute mark. People arriving after us were receiving their orders before us. I stopped our waiter I think his name was Presley or Preston and inquired about our additional meals, and was told “the Chef” was making the easiest items first. I asked how much easier was it to make a grilled cheese sandwich with ham in it? He offered us his employee discount to make up for the wait. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn’t one on today. I asked for someone in charge and was told nobody was in charge. After 2 hours we left and we still hadn’t received all of our orders as other customers who arrived after us received their food. I have tried calling to speak with a manager to explain what happened today, I was told they had left and the person answering the phone stated they didn’t know when they would be back, I asked if they would be in on Wed and was told she didn’t know the...

When I lived at the apartments above this place, it was always under construction with the date always being pushed back. One day it was just finally open and I decided to give it a try before doing a study session at the library.

It was quiet inside, a very tranquil and pleasing atmosphere too. The waiters were very friendly and at first glance, the menu appears very high end. Don't let that fool you, they still have pizza by the slice! Decided on some wings and a pizza slice. It then became crowded, with many guests just walking in. How come I had not given this place a chance before, the food was pretty good and total for one person came out to $11 bucks. Not bad! It is pretty cool to have this place located in small town imperial!

The place was almost empty. There was a couple that were done when we came in. We sat down, and we waited for a bit to order our drinks. The waitress took the drinks order, and on the way to get them, she stopped at the couples table to have a nice conversation. A few minutes later, we all were ready to order our food, and she was still talking to the couple. We ordered a BLT, meatballs sandwiches, and pork belly sandwich. The bacon of the BLT was burnt to the point that it disintegrated to the touch. It was too obvious that that plate shouldn't be served like that. The pork belly sandwich had a good flavor, but only on the first bite. After that, the taste was overpowered by the amount of fat of the pork belly. I hope they can fix...
