Sushi Spot — Restaurant in Imperial

I wish I had nice things to say, the manager was very sweet but the whole experience was awful. A friend and I went to enjoy dinner. We each ordered one roll and a plate and edamame for an appetizer. It was just us two and one additional customer dining in. They also weren't working on a lot of pick up orders either so they weren't very busy. When our first plate arrived we had spent two hours waiting for our food, including the edamame. First plate was the wrong size. Thankfully they didn't charge me for that mistake. Then came the rolls. They lacked flavor and I deeply regret getting the roll with raw salmon. It was warm, mushy, pale, with no flavor. Then they bring the edamame which felt like microwaved pods. They had forgotten my friends soup and when they brought it, it didn't have the items listed in the menu, it didnt have cabbage and the upon noodles were chow mein noodles, and they forgot to put in the beef. Ordered two sushi rolls and a Ramen on Uber eats. Not sure if it's the west coast or just the area that doesn't believe in Wasabi and ginger being served with the sushi because I never get it with any place here. The rolls are WAY over priced almost $20 for a spicy tuna roll that is literally a $7 tuna roll with a squirt of siracha on top and way to much rice. The other roll looked like it was just kinda thrown to gether and was very bland (the reason pickled ginger is supposed to be served with it, to add flavor). The Ramen was bland as well and reminded me of a low sodium Campbell's chicken noodle soup. Not sure what they are trying to do here but it surely seems this place is not owned/operated by someone who knows how to cook/make this style of food. Last time i was here was a few months ago, this place was my favorite since it opened years ago. Names changed throughout the years but food will always be good. The only reason why im putting 4 stars is because of the last time i was there the waitress was high on the job. We had sat and ordered and were ready to stay but when we saw the waitress and the way she was walking and talking and When she delivered our drinks, she was messy n all over the place trying to not make it noticeable, it was very uncomfortable. We decided to go somewhere else to eat for the night. We haven’t been back since. Im sure the Owners Knew better, Or who knows if she was the only waiter available they could hire.
