I used to be a regular customer, and would frequent this location on a daily basis. My family is from Wisconsin, and Culver's has always been a staple fast food in our household. However, Clarkston Culver's made my experience so uninviting, I will probably never visit the franchise again.
My usual order would be buffalo chicken tenders with mashed potatoes, gravy on the side. However, the restaurant got my order wrong so many times that the manager began to know who I was. Most of the time, they would either forget condiments (no big deal), or they would give me regular chicken tenders instead of buffalo (again, no big deal). Most of the time, the issue would be corrected and we would move on with our lives. However, sometimes the employees would feel bad for me, and they would give me a coupon for a free value basket.
I have never asked for a coupon, or for compensation
Fast forward to a normal day after a morning shift of work, I went to place my usual order, the employee at the speaker tells me my total, and then I pull to the window to pay for my food.
I am greeted at the window, by an employee that tells me "Sorry, I'm not allowed to serve you." When I asked why I was being refused service, the employee retreated into the restaurant, and the general manager came forward. The manager that I was a "problem customer" and that my goal was to "cheat the system".
The manager said that I was "holding up the line", and so I pulled around, parked, and came inside to discuss the issue with the manager under a less stressful situation. The manager then told me that I was not allowed back into the store, and notified me that she had called the police to remove me from the premises. She then went into the back of the store, and refused to discuss the situation further with me.
The regional manager offered an apology, issued another "free meal coupon (which I found pretty ironic)" and told me that I was free to visit the Waterford location if I'd like.
My message to Culver's is - I don't need your free food. If you go to a restaurant, you are paying for a service. You expect the service to be what you pay for. You should be able to get the order right the first time, not compensate for your shortcomings by offering coupons. You should especially not blame the customer for your inability to accurately take and complete an order. I thank you, Culver's for treating me like such a valued, respected customer.
TL;DR - I would't eat here,...
Read moreI didn't even want to give this place a 1 star. First and foremost I'd like to make it clear that if you're going to work in customer service don't have disgusting and abusive behavior. To the woman who works with her mother in law, honey I feel oh so sorry for you that you have to have her in your life and let alone work with her. Being told by en employee that, in her words " I can say rude comments to whoever I want to. " is absolutely appalling. My friend and I where waiting for our order when I had showed her a video off of TikTok, the woman who looks 70 years old came up and screamed at me saying " You think it's funny coming in 2 minutes before 10? " I was so shocked as we were innocently laughing at something that had nothing to do with whatever she was concerned about. She then stormed off. Once her daughter in law came and delivered our food we had voiced the verbal abused we had just experienced by this older woman. She immediately came hobbling around the corner and came verbally abused us even more to the point that her daughter in law had to tell her to " be quiet mom I can handle this." That was when the old woman told us she is allowed to be rude to anyone she wants and proceeded to hobble back into the kitchen area. When we called the store after we had left the store manager didn't care what had happened and we were basically dismissed. This behavior from employees is gross and uncalled for, I'd thought someone as old as she is she'd know how to behave. Maybe something to take in consideration for this employee is not to be working in a fast food restaurant at closing...
Read moreToday I had a craving. A simple craving really, for little bits of cheesecake chopped up and folded carefully into a medium sized order of vanilla custard. I made a long and treacherous journey from a small child's birthday party to the location on sashabaw road and was greeted by a short drive through line and a prompt clerk. I asked for what I was anticipating to be the best treat that I had ever experienced (and before you ask, saying "best ever" is not me being dramatic) . I was asked to pull forward as there was a shortage of vanilla and I would be served when the stores were refilled. As I sat alone in the wait lane I anticipated how this custard would certainly right all of the wrongs of my day. When my cup was brought to my truck, I was given something created with chocolate rather than vanilla and I accepted this treat after the wonderful young lady offered to remake everything and apologized profusely for the business of the lobby and for the mistake. I am aware that some of the best things in life came from simple mistakes and I thought that in this instance, maybe the universe was sending me a ray of sunshine to brighten my day with this chocolately cheesecake creation. I took the first bite:chocolatey but missing an important detail. Surely the cheesecake is on the bottom. Two bites. Three bites. Four . No cheesecake to be found. I flung my truck to the side of the road and hastily scooped in search of cheesecake but alas there was none. Now that I have arrived back at home, and I am left to contemplate the possibility of a perfect snack which I did...
