Hardee's — Restaurant in Independence

This review is difficult to write, because I've always loved Carl's Jr, which is a sister restaurant to Hardee's. However, my latest experience makes it necessary to give a negative review. I ordered the Frisco Angus Burger combo, and swapped the French Fries for Onion Rings. I had placed my order through the app, and ten minutes after letting them know that I was there, my food was finally ready. After getting my drink and some napkins, I sat down to eat in the dining room. Expecting a nice, hot, juicy burger, I found that the Frisco Angus Burger was merely warm, with all of the anticipated juiciness non-existent, because the patty must have been cooked long before I had placed my order. As for the Onion Rings, they were not only old, but they looked and tasted like they had been fried twice, like I had received O-rings leftover from a prior order gone wrong and then refried. They were dark brown, almost black in some places, and had lost any flavor and texture they had probably once had. Being an Onion Ring aficionado, I know what these should not only look like, but also taste like, and these were neither. The manager on duty had her back to the front counter almost the entire time I was waiting for my food. And yet, during that time, there were only four orders that went out, which included mine. Restaurant is tired and run down. Order the two roast beef sandwiches. Once received they looked liked someone put them in a press and clamped them down. They were flat, I was thinking if I wanted a flat bread sandwich I would have ordered one. Next there was hardly any roast beef on the sandwich. They of course looked nothing like the picture outside the store as might be expected. I know they are a sale item but really, skimping on roast beef on a roast beef sandwich, oh how the mighty have fallen. The bottom of the bun around the edges were soaking wet and had to be removed before eating. I was in the military for 14 years and have had to eat some terrible stuff in sand, rain, and snow. Yet one would think that sitting in a restaurant I would at least get a good roast beef sandwich, again even if it was for sale. The only good spot about all this was the crew that was working at this location. They knew there jobs and was courteous that's the only reason I didn't throw the stuff back to them. The company seems to not care about quality anymore and only concerned with profit. This seems to be the goal and I for one will not participate with their cash grab. Oh and we were only allotted three packets of horse radish sauce. What the heck is up with that? Why arent they out there by the Ketup? So they are easily accessible for the customers. Imagine ordering your food and every single time you go they get your order wrong ! It never fails for religious reasons we have asked for a burger with no bacon and both times it had bacon ! Then we ordered chicken tenders and not only were they old they were cold they didn't even pretend to reheat them atp I'm starting to think it's a discrimination thing since a vast majority of their customers in this area are caucasian then to top it off the manager doesn't require his employees to wear hair nets or hats that is disgusting which leads me to believe they aren't wearing gloves either ...then one of the employees had a face full of open sores around food also gross I'm aware it could be a skin condition and or rash but if a sore or wound is seeping or open it should be covered for obvious health reasons I plan on calling the health department and corporate to look into these things because idc about the money I wasted on cold and wrong orders atp coming in for a correction and seeing these things was definitely an eye opener as to why sometimes it pays to come inside vs going through the drive through because for the prices of the food I wonder what other corners are being cut to save money after having a pandemic you would think they would want to do better !
