This is a mixed rating. The food is ok not great by any means. However, I should have known being from South Texas that the further north you go the Mexican food gets worse.
The atmosphere was more like a fast food restaurant rather than a sit down family restaurant.
My waiter gets mixed reviews. I asked for shredded chicken in my enchiladas. He got that correct. I asked if his chipotle sauce was a creamy chipotle sauce. He said yes. It was not.
At that point, I told him I wanted a new plate of enchiladas with sour cream sauce on my enchiladas. He brought back cheese in a dish. I asked him a second time for a new plate of enchiladas with sour cream sauce. He brought back a bowl of sour cream. I gave up trying to get what I wanted since he obviously didn’t understand to bring me a new plate of enchiladas with sour cream sauce on the enchiladas.
To make matters worse, I told him I would pay for both plates of enchiladas, the one I didn’t want and the one I wanted. Yet, I still couldn’t get the enchiladas the way I...
Read moreI have had decent experiences here and I normally give it 3 stars. I went with the family about a year and a half ago and dumped the salsa out of the jar and into the salsa bowl. A few chips in, I found a used pink packet of artificial sugar inside the salsa
Clearly they reuse the salsa from previous tables, so there's no telling what is actually in it. I was very quiet and asked them to take it away. They gave me 10% off my bill.
Mexican restaurants menus include tons of foods that last a long time and are fairly cheap like rice and beans. That is why so many of them are able to stick around. Their profit margin are always a huge advantage to other restaurants. There's no need to reuse salsa and there's always better conservative strategies.
Not only is it cheap, it tells me a lot about what they think of their customers and what they're willing to do when you're not looking. I shouldn't ever give them my business again but I have a few...
Read moreThe completely bland and without even hint of flavor dinner combos were far from enjoyable. We had the chimichanga dinner and an order of mixed fajitas. Unfortunately, there was positively NOTHING, that actually had some honest flavor. From the margaritas, to the meal, to the complimentary tomato juice and chips. There was absolutely nothing that had even the tiniest bit of flavor. Now 6 or 7 years ago, this place was actually a place that was at least GOOD, maybe not the BEST, but it had taste and was enjoyed. NOW it is so whitewashed, there is not even a glimmer of what once was or could have been. Unfortunately, we will not be giving it another chance. If you go there expecting Tex-Mex or what is commonly referred to as Good Mexican, you will be sorely disappointed. Best of luck to all. Maybe they will try flavor again, but I will never...
