I love Hispanics just like I love my African Americans, but Edgar the manager there is a horrible disrespectful person. He does not have good customer service skills and he abuse his authority as a manager with the employees and customers. I've have had 2 horrible encounters with him this past week. They did not have enough English speaking crew members at the Popeyes independence. Even the managers can't help anyone because they barely speak English real good. They over work the English speaking crew members because they speak English and majority of the customers are English speaking. My son has applied at Popeyes multiple times but they say that their are not hiring but there is always a new Hispanic employee that again doesn't speak English. I was told they are only hiring their family members no one else, they have a lot of applications that they will not go through to hire more English speaking people to replace the 2 crew members that left. In my opinion if your going to have a manager the manager should be able to speak both English and Spanish very well to be able to help with customers complaints etc. Not push it off on the English speaking crew members to handle the customer complaints when it's the manager's responsibility. And in my honest opinion if you come to America you should like to speak English just like if we go to Mexico, Spain, Italy, Cuba, or anywhere else we should learn their language. With the way Popeyes is going now, I honestly I give it a year before it close down, if they don't change some things around. And if anyone knows where I can find the owner Mike of all Popeyes. It will be a 10 minute wait I said then I will take spicy. I paid for my order. They asked me to pull over into a parking spot and I sat there for 10 minutes. There were five cars behind me and all left, and I still did not have my food. I backed up to the drive-through window and finally when they acknowledge that I was sitting there open the window and asked me if they could help me. I asked him if they forgot about me and every single one of them looked at each other. New review canceling the 5 star: Was great the FIRST couple of weeks. 2nd time Iāve been here that Iāve been asked to come inside for a mobile pickup order. This isnāt protocol. Mobile pickup clearly states drive thru or come to the counter. Iām picking drive thru as I donāt want to come inside. COMMON SENSE. Idk if yall put a new general manager here or what but I can tell by this ācome insideā method you will lose business. If I ever caught one of my restaurantās telling customers that that shift or assistant manager would be fired ASAP. General manager would on there way out to!
