I used the drive-thru today at lunch time. When I got into the line, there were two vehicles in front of me. We all sat for an extended period of time without moving. The Middle vehicle then abruptly left. When I finally got up to the speaker to order - no greeting, no audio whatsoever. I sat there for a few minutes even saying, "Hello" three different times while waiting for someone to respond. The employee finally responded but the electronics in the audio was horrendous and could barely be heard/understood. I ordered a #8 meal - hotdog with only chili on it, tater tots, a large coke and a large strawberry cheesecake shake. I then had to repeat portions of my order 8 times. I pulled forward to the window and an employee opened the window and asked, " Can I help you?" I told her, "Yes, I'm picking up food." She then asked is I had ordered food.and I assured her I had (mind you I literally just left the speaker 30 seconds if that prior). She asked if I ordered food from the drive-thru or the [covered menu spots] - paraphrasing because I don't remember what she called them. I told her I just ordered from the drive-thru - (no one else was behind me.) She then asked what I had ordered. I repeated my order and we went back and forth again multiple times until she went and got the order receipt and had to read that two more times. I'm 61 and this was easily one of the worst, most convoluted, disorganized fast food restaurant I've ever experienced. Watching the crew inside was a cacophony of ridiculousness as there was no pattern, no leadership, & apparently zero experience shown by anyone and they were all moving around with different parts of meals in hand but had to check each order's receipt each time just to try to figure out what goes where. Read moreIf I could rate 0 stars I would. This location has gone downhill! It seems every time I go it's a staff of teenagers who clearly don't care about the customer. One girl asks you to repeat yourself multiple times on the simplest order giving the impression she isn't even paying attention, and the girl who took my order today didn't repeat back what I ordered so when I clarified she agreed that's what she put the order in as. I explained that she confused me because she read it back different and she said "....ok? Is that all?" (I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger and it didn't have bacon on it. I look at the receipt and she rang it up as a regular double.) The girl at the window screamed obnoxiously loud as if I was 10 feet away from her and acted like she'd rather be anywhere else. I will not be going back even though it's the closest Sonic to my house. Management needs to clean house and hire some respectful people that actually listen and care about the customers.
EDIT 4/26/22 My kids wanted ice cream so we ordered for delivery. Their shakes were completely wrong, they ordered brownie batter and got Oreo, also got a kids meal burger and paid extra to add cheese. We didn't get the cheese and it had ketchup, mustard, and pickles when we wanted only cheese. Our order wasn't difficult. What does it take to hire polite people that actually pay attention and do the job correct? Read moreI have been a faithful daily customer to sonic for 6years and even Christmas 🎄 I find one that is open. But this one in Liberty Missouri has had very poor service and they have not put the lids on right several times in a row and I order 2 rt 44s every day for 6 years. It took 2 years of complaining for them to get my drink right and put in what I pay for and after twice of accidentally having the app send my order to this sonic and I tried to call over n over and eventually they would pick up and just hang up without even saying 👋 hello so I left the other sonic and drove to this one and to my surprise no cars in any stalls maybe 1 at most and I tried calling again same thing but I could see the staff laughing and talking and not working so I drove straight to drive through window and asked for manager and a young kid came to the window and I told him what happened and I tried to call and ask him to just cancel the order and it went to the wrong sonic and he said I'm sorry we have been very busy and I said that I had not seen one car and I told him I even tried to call in the parking lot and he said well I'm sorry ma'am we've been busy and I will refund your order so I drove all the way back to the sonic on cookingham road in Liberty for 2 drinks.
