Romito's Pizza West — Restaurant in Independence

Sad to say today is the end of over 20 years of patronage to romitos. We order very frequently, in fact over the last month, weekly. Pizza has always been excellent, in fact just last week my wife called and told them how good it was, you know we all call when we're unhappy but rarely when we are happy,. But today when a hour and 15 minutes went by and no pizza, she called just to make sure they had the order because the man who answered the phone, who we were told by the driver, was the owner and the driver was his son, never took her name or phone number only address. So he answers and is rude. So she tells him we order weekly, and instead of thanking her for her loyalty as a customer, he says,"I doubt that". She said she called last week and told him how good the Pizza was, and he said order was on the way as he asked the driver if our order was his next delivery. Another 20 minutes later we received our ice cold order. At least his son has better customer service skills as he did apologize for his father, stating he was in a bad mood today. But bad mood or not, you don't talk down to the very people who support your business. Good bye romitos,...

Working in the area and searched for "Pizza" on Google Earth. I dont normally like to eat at chain pizza places so I thought I would try Romito's, I should have gone someplace else.

Got wings and Pizza. The Wings were not cleaned well and had long hairs that did not cook off in the oven. This tells me they were not cooked at a proper temp. In the garbage they went.

Tried the "White Pizza" with Italian Sausage. Tons of cheese to the point it was like a layer of plastic. The sausage had no real flavor to it. The part of the pizza that is key to a good pie is the crust. And this crust was like a cardboard dough. Thick, chewy and undercooked.

I travel the country doing installation work for Automotive and Utility companies and this pizza is in my bottom 3 of hundreds of pizza pies...

I really hate to give them One star because they seemed very friendly and I love to support Ma/pa companies but that food was GROSS. The pizza was SO thin and not super flavorful. But the wings are what was gross. The wings I believe are baked, but it reminded me of just regular chicken cooked in the oven. The outside of the chicken wings were so fatty and gross that I ended up just throwing them out bc I was disgusted with the fat. The inside was dry on some, while others still had pink inside. I just could not stomach them. My 7 year old never turns do wings but he was not having these either! The sauce (Buffalo) was not even good. Such a disappointment.
