Belisa (Jacque’s Boss) Jacque (GM) and Daniel Boss ( assistant manager) I am a former employee that used to work here and I did not last longer then 90 days due to discrimination and constant harassment of the assistant manager, Daniel Boss. Within my first 3 days working here I experienced discrimination I was making a modified sandwich for a customer who wanted “real chicken” over the pulled chicken that’s standardly used for their sandwiches and I was assigned to work on line 2 during lunch since I was told it is slower & all new employees start here until they’ve gotten the hang of making sandwiches comfortably & Daniel Boss was assigned to the salad line wherethis “real chicken” could be found only so when I walked down to the salad line to get a portion of this chicken where Daniel was working he asked me “What do you want?” as if I was annoying him and I explained that I needed some of “real chicken” instead of pulled for this customers modified sandwich and response was to me “Go find it somewhere else!” Like idc get away from me. When I tell you I was in complete shock and I took the situation to Belisa pulled her in the ladies restroom and told her about the situation apparently nothing was done because this same manager continued with his ugly behavior. Not to mention this same manager (Daniel Boss) threw a trash can at another employee and no disciplinary action was taken whatsoever. The second incident took place my within my first week working here again with Daniel Boss. I was holding conversation with another employee who just so happen to be the same race as me (African American) and I forget what exactly we were discussing and at first Daniel was present amidst the conversation then went to the back to retrieve something to stock his salad line and when he came back to the line he made a very odd comment, he said “I feel like there’s a prejudice aura.” Like there was dead silence for 30 seconds because we were so confused like why would he say something like that??? To me it just didn’t make any sense. I let these situations continue until I just couldn’t take it anymore with him because he does not know how to leave well enough. I then took all my concerns to Jacque and told her about the many incidents and she told me to write everything out and send it to her personal email that way everything could be in black and white and then that she would talk with Daniel about his behavior well a week after I reported him to her he then begin to “accidentally” aggressively run into me as if he were a ghost... mind you I’m 5”2 and he’s like 6”6 meaning I’m a ant compared to him and there is no way he should have been running into me w/ great force nearly being trampled! But the straw that broke the camels back was the final time he ran into me like a speed demon with a metal or plastic object in hand hitting me in the center of my back causing my head to shake bringing about a slight headache. I was furious! Because I knew that it wasn’t a accident and he had done it on purpose because my reporting him to the GM about his behavior a week prior. I filed a police report because even though I had consistently reported him to all the managers above him they took lightly the situation and was seemingly protecting him, they seemed to be more concerned with protecting him though he was the offender. I then requested for a transfer even though I had to have been with the company 90 days before that was even a option but I asked anyway due to the situation, then a week later after I filed the police report I was pulled off line by Belisa & she had a yellow notepad in her hand & she also had Jacque as a witness... in conclusion Belisa told me that she would grant me my wish by transferring me before my 90 days if only I kept my mouth shut! This completely shocked my system & made me do research on Covelli Enterprises just to find out that discrimination, prejudice and racism is huge with this company that ultimately I quit and didn’t want to work for the company period! They shall reap what they sow....
Read moreWhile I was waiting for an order to be fulfilled at FEDEX OFFICE, I decided to have a cup of tea and relax because my heart was racing. As I entered the business on Rockside Road in Independence with my puppy covered in his pet stroller, I was verbally approached by an employee named Yonni, who was sitting in the lobby either on her break, or just lollygagging. Either way, she asked if my pup was a service pet. I said yes and then as I proceeded to purchase my drink, she continued to talk about me OUT LOUD in the dining room and behind the counter and you can hear her echoing throughout the dining room. She said who brings a dog into a restaurant??
She also repeated out loud to another employee “She said she comes in here all the time with her dog” she just kept saying it so finally, I approached the counter and asked to speak to the manager. I was told that Yonni, the boisterous rude girl, was a shift manager as well. However, if that’s her behavior, then she deserves to be demoted.
Meanwhile….
I was sitting quietly drinking my tea Erika, the store assistant just walked over and asked me to leave and stated that I could not be in there with my tiny pup (Shitzu/Bichon) and DID NOT ask me if I had proof of Service pet. I then proceeded to educate Erika on the proper procedures as to how to approach a customer with a pet, a service pet or an ADA accordingly. I also stated that I would be making a report to the company as well and if I had to leave out to go get my permit from my car since I keep a copy in my car and I have to fasten my puppy back in the car and put the stroller back in the trunk then I will not be coming back in. I would also like to point out that it was 85° outside. No one‘s gonna leave their pup in a car that hot...
Read morePlaced order online, my bank card was charged. Received notification several minutes later that order was canceled but no reversal of my funds. Went into Panera to pick up order since I thought it was a glitch since I was charged. I was asked did I choose the right store for my order (I sat in the parking lot of the store to place order, so yes I had the correct location) then was asked to show my phone to provide order number and also my online banking activity. They didn’t have the order. Initially was asked was an order that contained sandwiches and soup was mine. I could have easily said yes and walked out with someone else’s order. I just wanted my order of a bowl of soup with chips. I was in the store about 15 minutes or so for Lynn to let me that there was no order and to log back out of my account and log back in to see if it was reversed. The charges were still there. Since everyone behind the contour was dumbfounded, I ended up paying twice for a total of 17.58 for a bowl of wild rice w/chicken soup. Since the both charges did clear my account, I had to dispute the double charge with my bank. This was my first visit to the Independence location and certainly my last. These type of situations make you question that if you were someone else would the outcome have been different, a more favorable manner towards...
