Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Independence

I just had a terrible experience at this Sonic. The drive-thru person didn't take my order for about 8 minutes. I ordered a number five with onion rings and Coke to drink medium size mozzarella sticks and a medium chocolate M&M blast. I get to the window after a few minutes comes to get my money $21.87 at that time I reminded her that the M&M blast was to be chocolate she said okay. She never gave me my change out of $21 she did not give me a receipt. She brought me my Coke and what was supposed to be my chocolate M&M blast, immediately I noticed it was Vanilla so I handed it back to her I watched her go put chocolate in it and mix it up and then she brought it back to me. I said thank you. I took the lid off the what was supposed to be chocolate M&M blast, took the spoon and reached down in there was no M&Ms?? So I tapped on the window to get her attention she did not come to the window she said to somebody else in the store can somebody come and help this lady I ain't got time for her. So a male employee came and talked to me at the window I explained to him there was no M&Ms at all and told him he could take the spoon reach down in there there's no M&Ms he said he would be happy to make me a fresh one. She finally came over to the window with my food while he was still making my chocolate M&M blast she gave me my food I asked her what her name was she said her name was Melissa I said okay thank you. Then while I'm sitting there waiting to get my blast she goes out the door to the car behind me and tells them that she apologizes that the person in front of them is being difficult, with her food order referring to me. Her name is Melissa she has pink and red hair and she was doing the drive-thru on Friday the 14th of October. I will drive clear to 23rd Street to that...

I placed an order for the footlong chilli cheese dog, after waiting for almost ten minutes, just to place the order. I then waited for 22 minutes just to advance to the window, and another 10 minutes waiting at the window, for just one item, and drink. When I got home, I found that the chilli cheese dog I ordered, was turned upside down, and had no cheese! The kid who was taking care of the window, did not appear to know what he was doing at all, and from the way I received my order, the kids preparing it didn't know what they were doing either! I tried calling, to talk to the manager, but of course, the line is busy, and I'm going to guess it's busy so they don't have to listen to people calling with complaints. WORST SERVICE, AND FOOD, EVER! I'm back with a new BAD UPDATE! This time I ordered the #1 with bacon and tots. First of all I've got to say, I did not know that bacon could be cooked past burnt, but tonight I was shown that it IS possible, and it's called charred, to the point it might break your teeth! The tots were just tolerable. Now you might wonder why I continue to go back to reap the same results? It's close to my home, and I'm hoping that with continued bad reviews, it will prompt the owner to do something about the really bad food, and maybe cut into their business! Alright, so I love a good burger. I ordered a double supersonic bacon cheese burger with jalapeños meal. We decided to go through the drive through instead of a stall thinking it would go quicker. After we review our order and pay they hand my wife an ice cream that we ordered and the cup had a hole in it, no big deal just give us another cup to put over it. Except they didn’t come back to the window till 18 minutes later. The car behind us left after about 10 mins of waiting. The guy working the window asks us what we ordered again. Like they had no clue what we ordered, after getting my wife’s meal and mine in the truck we still didn’t get our drink. Finally that was fixed and we made it home. The burger tasted amazing as always besides the jalapenos on my burger were mostly stems. Both of our tots tasted like they were old tots that they threw back in fryer to get hot instead of making fresh which caused then to be tater rocks instead....
