Tom's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Independence

A local band that I like plays there at Tom's once in awhile. I always go see them when they play. I was not happy last evening as they were there to be playing from 8:00 until 11:00. The owner kept making them quit playing because of the Mike Tyson fight on the TV took up about 45 minutes of their time to play and I was not happy I went there to go see this band play. I did not go there to watch a fight. My sister, her boyfriend and I ordered some food it took quite a while to get the food they got theirs but I did not get mine. I kept going up and asking about it and they said it was coming it took me 2 hours to get my food. The waitress and the bartender were great. It was not their fault and when I finally did get my fried mushrooms they were really good. I also thought I should have been offered them for free or at least some kind of discount.I went out to listen to this band I like, dance and have a good time and I am not happy and I will not patronize Tom's bar and...

Went to Tom's Bar and Grill on 40 Hwy tonight because our regular spot was to busy. Wow what a surprise!!! Their Friday night special was a 20 once strip steak which we split, it was huge, thick, seasoned perfect and so tender I cut it with the table knife. The service was great and the dinner came out quickly. As we were finishing the owner Tom came out to ask about our dinner, from our conversation it is obvious that he is all in and hands on about his place. I hate to give this place a one on service, but I mean I came in there earlier wasn’t greeted at all then I was like OK I’ll just go back home and change and take a shower cause I’m right around the corner. I come back. The bartender is on the phone outside my OK she just gonna be a minute or two whatever I said at the bar for about 10 minutes. Nothing still outside on her phone.
