It was a rather awkward meal the whole meal was just off. We ordered calamari and each of us ordered a bowl of clam chowder. We all ordered our dinners and about 10 minutes later we got our drink
About 5 minutes after he brought our drinks. The server brought everything all at once, the appetizer the soup the entree everything. He put everything down in front of us and I took a bite of the clam chowder and it was room temperature. I took a bite of the french fries they were room temperature too but the fish was right out of the fryer which was delicious. It sucked having part of the meal hot and part of the meal cold. We asked the waiter why they brought everything at once because we felt very rushed despite it being way before closing.. The waiter was very nice and he said he didn't know this is not how we do things I'll go find out. We also told him to take away the clam chowder because it was lousy because it was cold and asked him if he could bring us out new fries and new calamari since those were both room temperature. I really think they put our calamari, our soup our fries out on a tray and just let them sit and get cold and then put the fish on and then they served it. The french fries that they did bring out as well as the calamari was nice and hot the second time but by then the fish was cold.
I really liked the atmosphere of being by the water and I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday there but the whole meal was a big let down. The waiter, thinking he was doing us a favor said he took the clam chowders off and I wanted to say your damn right, cuz we didn't eat it. Not sure if I'll give it a second chance.
In reply to the owner. No. Why am I going to take the time to email when I'm doing it right here. You already know the story. They brought everything out at once from appetizers soup entree drinks all at the same time. The fries were cold the soup was cold The calamari was cold. End of story it's all right there nothing more to say except like I said Beach waves grill is a million...

If the waitress would have just told me the staff had cleared down I would've let her take the item off the bill and left a nicer review. It helps to just be honest. I understand people want to go home.
I ordered a medium rare steak and when I received it I cut into it and saw no pink. I took a bite just to see the consistency and cut one more slice away to see the center. I waited about ten minutes and stood up to go find my waitress since she hadn't checked on us. She offered to "take if off the order" and I felt kind of stumped that I wasn't asked if I wanted my food remade. After thinking about it for a moment I said "well okay, yeah you can do that" and she said "we'll get part of it taken off". I questioned if it was going to be taken off or part of it taken off. She pointed out that I had eaten part of it. I don't know if she forgot that I ordered an 8 ounce steak or was holding me accountable for how others act but I didn't even want them to take my steak off. I took ONE bite in order to see if maybe it was juicy and I could just eat it. I don't like to complain. I wanted it remade so I could have what I ordered. They ended up not charging me for it and I ate the majority of it even though I didn't find it enjoyable and felt like I was shamed for wanting my steak cooked the way I like it. Not sure why the staff's demeanor changes towards customers who aren't pleased with their order. Mistakes happen. How you handle them is what counts.
The chicken nacho appetizer I ordered was good and the portion was nice. The ceiling is leaking in the dining room and needs...
Read moreI had high hopes, but I wouldn't go back. First, I'll say the location and atmosphere is what attracted me to stop. It's right on the intercoastal waterway and across from the beach. Live band was playing, and they were great. The food was just average. I ate at several other places in Clearwater Beach and Indian Shores that were priced better with way better food. The reason I won't return is the server. Happy Hour started at 7PM. I arrived at 645 and had a beer with dinner. I asked at 655 what the happy hour specials were. I was told by my server that Rum Runners were $5. At 705, i ordered a rum runner. Later when i got the check, i was charged $15 for a rum runner. I didn't notice the charge until I had paid and left a 20% tip since they just bring a POS mobile machine out vs showing you your receipt. Once I paid, she printed off a receipt. I noticed the $15 charge and mentioned it. At that point, the server got rude and said I gave you the more expensive rum runner vs the happy hour version. I said, "ok, why?" I had no idea there were two versions of a rum runner. She said well you got the bigger one and you already drank it so there's nothing I can do. That royally pissed me off since I had already asked what the happy hour specials were. To me, the server purposely gave me the non-happy hour version to get a bigger tip. On top of that, why is a happy hour rum runner different than a regular rum runner. SCAM! I would've given this place 5 stars even with average food due to the atmosphere and location, but this server lost...
