Deli Chick — Restaurant in Indian Wells

I’m always looking for a great sandwich, and It’s a Deli does not disappoint! I’m not usually in this area but this restaurant was close by so I decided to give it a try. The interior & exterior decor is nothing to brag about, but the restaurant is clean. The menu has a decent variety - not too overwhelming with options. The kind young lady who took my order suggested the daily specials. I ordered Kel’s Hollywood (turkey & pastrami on rye). Typically I’m really picky about pastrami (I don’t like fatty meat) but this sandwich was outstanding! The meat was lean & flavorful, and the rye bread was not over powering. They were really nice in there but I ordered a California sandwich and the bread seemed like white bread instead of sourdough. It's possible the sourdough was made with white flour but either way the texture was not firm how I expect sourdough to be.

Additionally, the size of the sandwich was a bit small for the $13 I paid. I have paid $15 at a nearby French place and other American spot for a sandwich with twice the filling.

I'll maybe come back to try the El Pastrami, since that one looks bigger and better in the menu pics. Maybe I made the wrong choice for my taste but ultimately the California was quite plain and felt like I could've easily made that at home with basic ingredients from the grocery store.

I really enjoyed my visit to Deli Chick in Indian Wells. The sandwiches are filled with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. We tried a few different options, and each one was delicious and clearly made to order. The sides, like potato salad and coleslaw, were tasty and paired well with the sandwiches.

The service was friendly and welcoming. The dining area was clean and comfortable, which made it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal.

I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the wait time for food was a bit longer than expected. Still, the quality and flavor made it worth the wait.
