IW Coffee - Indian Wells — Restaurant in Indian Wells

Great coffee and tea but, I guess an employee decided to loudly take it out on me that she was having a bad morning? Lol. I’m a combat veteran so my ears are pretty shot and this woman working behind the counter was particularly impatient when I guess I wasn’t loud enough for her. Or when i started to get some work done on my phone and didn’t hear her call my order out the first time. She went on to loudly talk about how “people aren’t paying attention this morning”.. I’m not going to get into an argument with someone at a coffee shop but man. Like just control your emotions or go home if you’re having that bad of a morning?

Edit: in response to the representative who responded to my review, I definitely understand why they’d call names loudly or more than once. But my name was called twice. And that wasn’t the problem. It was the fact that the employee began to rudely talk about me to the other employee right in front of me. Like I said I was doing some work and my ears are not great bc of exposure to explosions and other violent noises. I’m not here to try and cancel anyone but people shouldn’t behave that way toward others. I’m pretty patient and this behavior didn’t come off as intimidating it just came off as irritating and annoying. Again this place definitely has great quality items and I’d still recommend it to others for that. But i do also think it’s important that employees or really anyone should reasonably understand you don’t treat others this way. It doesn’t make you sound tough or smarter or more aware than anyone. I love taking my hiking group to IW Coffee. We are there most mornings. We witnessed MelissaM Metzler issue with a small dog. I totally understand being afraid of barking dog and the owner should have taken the dog out... with that said, the rage and strangeness of Mellisa was appalling. She was screaming and threatening to the dog and owner...The dog owner remained calm. The owner of the IW ask both ladies to leave. They did, but MelissaM Metzler continue to get up into the dog owner face. We had to escort the dog owner to her car as MelissaM Metzler filmed us escorting the dog owner off the property. The reaction was almost frightening. I have seen rage on the roads...sad to see rage at this nice establishment. The owner of IW Coffee did as any good owner should have done... Asked both ladies to leave to bring down the bad energy that was overtaking the establishment. Scary situations happen. How you react shows the world how you can fix a situation or make it much much worse. Owner of IW Coffee did her best. The owner of the dog should have left sooner. The lady screaming and getting up into people faces did nothing but make the situation much worse for herself and...

I ordered a sugar free hazelnut blended coffee with light almond milk. I drank it trusting it was all of those things described that I asked for. Long story short both me and my co worker got extremely sick. It’s really bad because we were seeing patients all day and work for a busy surgeon. We didn’t even get a chance to eat the avocado toast we had because we got so nauseous. So the food was completely thrown out. When I tried calling no one would answer the phone. I ended up driving there so that we were able to get our $20 back each. Their response was “I’m really sorry, I’m not sure how we can rectify the situation but to offer your money back however, for the blended drinks the powder is not sugar free and I don’t think we have sugar free almond milk at the moment either.” My response was well For future you should make sure your staff is fully aware of these things and educated so they can be kind enough to explain this info to the customers because had I known that I wouldn’t have ordered that and some people can get even more sick than us.
