We have been getting our pizza from Upper Crust since they opened. Sadly, we will now be looking for a new pizza place. The past three times our pizza has arrived well before their delivery estimate -- hurray for them! BUT, every time it has been pretty undercooked. Today, the pizza arrived and the crust was literally raw in the middle and the cheese in the center was barely melted. Sick and tired of throwing away pizza, I decided to call to: 1) find out the best temperature to finish cooking my pizza & 2) let the owner know that I would rather wait a little longer for a pizza that was cooked properly. The owner immediately offered to replace the pizza. (Nice job.) BUT, he then proceed to insist (oh, and by insist, I mean yell) that ALL his pizzas were cooked PERFECTLY. Really? Every one? Hmm. Sorry, but serving raw pizza is foul -- not perfect. I wonder why I would complain? And, it looks like I'm not the only one on Google+ with this complaint. I did not want a replacement pizza -- I hate wasting food. I was happy to fix the pizza at my house and give Upper Crust another chance. I just didn't want to be yelled at when trying to let the owner know that he had a quality issue. I'm really bummed. Their pizza used to be so good. Sometimes, it still is. But, I can't give my business to an owner who yells at a customer when she informs him that he is delivering...

Illegal non-mask wearing food preparation employees: Lots of COVID-related assurances on paper which was why I put in my order, but in reality when I walked through the door much of the staff making food were not wearing masks (they had them looped over one ear dangling). When I returned 20m later the situation was the same, so it wasn’t a temporary thing.
Vaguely deceptive business practices: I ordered food, was told ~45m later no problem, arrived exactly 45m later, was immediately instructed to pay AND tip (I did so, despite being a bit worried about mask usage), and only after they got their tip and I paid I was informed that it would be another 20m (in reality more like 25) when I was expecting to get my food. Not a huge deal, but also obviously SUPER manipulative and left a poor taste in my mouth.
The pizza just wasn’t that good: possibly the sad, final nail on the coffin for my future business with this place. Wet soggy pizza where half of the cheese would fall off when you tried to pull it out of the box (and I only had one topping) with little to no garlic crust flavor.
The salad was good though! So kudos there & an extra star. That said, I will not be...
Read moreMy son ordered a pizza at 5:25 pm. They were very busy. He was told it would be about an hour. I went to pick it up at 6:30. I was told it would be another 15 minutes. I decided to get gas down by route 8 to kill some time. I got back at about 6:55. I was told it was one of the next ones to come up. I finally got my pizza at 7:12. When I got there to pick it up I paid cash, and it looked like my ticket hadn't even been pulled for an order.
While I was waiting with another customer the staff made the comment" Don't people cook anymore?" Then, "They can come to my house and I will show them." FYI --I cook all the time- from scratch. My son had friends over, and they wanted a pizza.
Their pizza is great. Their service is terrible and frequently rude. This not the first time we have experienced less than courteous treatment. We will not be ordering from...
