I went to the one on Boonville New Harmony 1 time before and had bad experience. That had been a couple years ago.
I missed lunch today and it was now 3pm so I thought I'd give another shot since it's very close to my home and I can't even recall what was bad the first time anyway.
I ordered the same thing I order at any Mexican restaurant. Tortilla chips with grilled chicken, steak and cheese sauce on it. This always costs me somewhere between $11 and $16 everywhere else. It came out with no cheese sauce but had regular melted cheese. (Keep in mind that I did not order nachos. I ordered exactly as I quoted above). I told the female manager what had happened and she said it did have cheese sauce and also had melted because that's how it comes. I said how what comes? I didn't ask for anything but exactly what I said. She takes the plate back and brings a new order with cold chicken and cold steak. I picked thru some of it ate what I could tolerate. Mainly because I was up at 6 am and had not eaten anything.
When I get my check, it was nearly $34. I did not say anything. I just paid and tipped the waitress who was a sweetheart and left. I am normally never one to give a bad review but I guarantee this. I will not be back and I will tell everyone...
Read moreI'm an out of towner & tried it cuz it was close to my hotel. 1st of all, the service was great! I also gave credit because the chimichanga had a lot of chicken inside. HOWEVER - the meat didn't taste seasoned & I didn't notice the cheese on or in it? The chimichanga was drowned in beans (I opted for no rice). I wish the beans had been on the side. I was surprised that it didn't come with sour cream, guacamole, Pico, etc. I opted for a side of Pico instead of lettuce & tomato that it came with (thought that was weird). The side of Pico & guacamole (which I was charged for) was in a tiny maybe 1oz container. I was also surprised they don't add a side of chips & salsa, it was offered as an additional charge! Maybe my hometown restaurants have me spoiled? It wasn't authentic at all, it seems like a half step up from taco bell. Thank God my company reimburses me because it was a waste of money. But again, I did appreciate the...
Read moreno tortillas for fajitas Half portion of fajita meat/veggies Fries neither fiesta nor waffle as ordered and in the box with the meat/veggies - soggy as it’s possible for fries to be and still remain fries and not shredded potato chunks No lid on guacamole Chimichanga was more of a burrito than a chimichanga - not fried and half size No green onions in white cheese dip Employees are not wearing masks as website claims Take out employee reached into to-go box to replace the wrong cheese they had given us rather than just give us the right one and keep her hands away from the food.
Absolutely horrendous meal, not a single thing was satisfactory, will NEVER go to hacienda again. Not just this location. Los Bravos DESTROYS hacienda anyway, just go to los bravos or get chipotle. Hacienda is not worth it anymore. Sit down restaurant prices for fast food...
