Heavy's Sports Cafe — Restaurant in Indiana

I like the food and beer is always cold. I have been a regular for two years now. Service is always really slow and you will be thirsty before another drink shows up. I have been there at many different times of the day and always under staffed. Servers are always busy so im talking about the servers themselves. Im just saying service is slow because of the lack of staffing. Every now and then if you are short staff thats one thing. But if i have been going for two years now and its always understaffed. Therefore they must do it on purpose?? Update 3-20-2025 Again, service so slow that i domt know why i keep coming in here. Waiter never came over so went to bar and got my own drinks after waiting 15 minutes. Then when we where ready to leave we had to give the bar tender our card to pay. Although all she did was give it to our waiter so it still took 20 minutes!!!! After we where done eating and drinking forbour waiter to ckme give the card back. Dont come here if you know a different bar with good food...

I reviewed this bar 3 years ago and gave it 5 stars. I love the owner and the staff but as with every restaurant/bar, they start off strong and end with a whimper. Just stopped in to have a beer and a shot and decided to order some food. Orderered French Onion soup along with with cheese and onion which they PROUDLY serve with homemade potato chips. Although the cheese was melt on the soup it was because it had been put in the microwave or broiler. The soup was cold and instead of using a crouton (you can buy them at Walmart) they used a piece of bread. The crust was readily visible around the edges. The chili dogs came out so cold the cheese wouldn't even melt and as for their signature homemade chips...they where so under done you could FILD THEY IN HALF WITHOUT THEM BREAKING!! I ate the soup out of pure starvation but aren't...

Came here to see a friend's band. Walked in at 7:15pm and went straight to a table and picked up the menus that were sitting there. 30 minutes later I went up to the bar to order our drinks. We have now been here an hour and despite parties on either side of us that are being waited on, the waitress refuses to acknowledge us. I've made direct eye contact with two of them and both just turn like we don't exist. We came to hear a friend's band and to spend some money. Needless to say we are going to nurse our one and only drink each and sit here to listen to the band and not spend one more dime here. Huge disappointment as this was our first visit here and we're looking to try...
