While the staff was friendly, the food was being subpar. We ordered the Margharita Pizza and their Antipasto. The pizza looked thrown together and it appears the cook doesn't know how to spin a pizza. It looked like a stop sign that was ran over many times. Not to mention extremely small for a pizza. Sadly, we ordered two. The antipasto was not an antipasto. There were no meats or cheese, skimpy on the lettuce and the two olives they threw in. Being Italian, this was disgraceful. So for $53.00, yes, $53.00 we got skimpy portions, badly made antipasto and a whopping bill for slop. I did call and speak to the manager, Alex. He was very nice and apologetic. However, $53.00 for what we got was outrageous. The pizza lacked flavor and was overly salty. I explained this to him and also made him aware of my pending review. This was our first and last time eating from...

By far the BEST pizza I ever had hands down. It is just like it was when I was in Italy. Very authentic. The wood fire oven must be right from Italy. On the pizza, I had gorgonzola, capers, olives, garlic & tomatoes. Very rarely do you find a place that offers capers on the pizza. (I had a similar pizza at Cafe Europa in Fort Lauderdale) It was AMAZING!! We also ate next door at Cucina Mia a few days ago & all the pasta is homemade. The gnocchis & meatballs were delicious!! Once again, it is very rare to find a restaurant that offers homemade gnocchis. The bread & the tiramasu were also the best I ever had. Every time I come to Indiana, I will always eat here & at Cucina Mia. Both have a great atmosphere and staff is very friendly & personable. Thumbs up!! You have to go! You will NOT be...

You can not go wrong by stopping in to Josephine’s. You are so welcomed regardless how busy they are.our waiter John have us recommendations based on what we were looking for (knew his stuff about the food not just memorized menu) We had and forgive me for I don’t know how to spell, lamb kabobs from a leg of lamb served with a spicy Greek yogurt sauce on the side. Than a delicious hearty salad with artichokes, beets that were the perfect sweetness, Garbonzo Beans tosses in a tangy vinaigrette. I love meatballs so we had the meatballs in a cup (huge serving) We were just in the mood to pick and enjoy a late evening bite. And you can’t forget dessert my husband enjoyed there house made amaretto cake while I indulged in the cannoli. This place is a gem! I love good food and this place serves...

Excellent is the best word to describe Josephine’s. Friendly and attentive service focused on you. Even in a busy time the servers and hosts made sure to give us all the options about waiting or sitting at the bar and treated us like friends. We sat at the bar and had two incredible pizzas. The Margherita pizza is most certainly the best you’ll find in Indiana county, and personally I think it can compete with any pizza I have had this side of Europe. It’s more expensive than your average small town pizza joint, but it is thoroughly worth the price. You won’t be disappointed.

It's bigger inside than what it looks. I liked the old wood flooring, the copper ceiling, and the old pictures. The waitresses were friendly. The Margherita pizza was great, floppy though, not firm. I liked the wood fired flavor. The homemade bread for the Italian sandwich was a unique taste, I liked it. The Italian bologna was delicious. The chocolate cake was okay. Dry and the cheesecake was lumpy. Not a rich chocolate taste. But okay. The people at the bar were very loud. I'll come back for the Italian to go.

This review is really special because I went here on my birthday and I turned 21! This was on April 23rd, and I got a prosciutto specialty pie to share with one of my sisters, a frozen cucumber mint mojito w/ rum in it, and a blondie cake w/ vanilla flavored ice cream and candied pecans! The whole meal was really good, and I highly recommend coming here if you want some good quality pizza and food!
