This is our first time trying this restaurant. The service and atmosphere were great. Some observations why I felt the food was ok not great. First of all the salsa that was brought out was very watery. It tasted like it was either old sitting around for a while or maybe came from a can. It just didnât have a freshness to it and I just really didnât want to eat it . I ordered the Monterrey Fajitas which are steak and chicken fajitas. The presentation of the fajitas looked good although when I tried the meat, it lacked flavor and the cut of meat was very thin for fajitas. It just wasnât exciting it wasnât horrible but it wasnât great. The texture of the rice was very clumpy and tasted like it was sitting around for awhile or came from a box. The guacamole was on point and was fresh. The horchata tasted good. Even when I had mentioned to one of the waiters about how the meat lacked flavor, he agreed. Obviously, everyone has their own standard of what they feel is good Mexican food but of course this being my family lineage I think Iâm pretty good at deciphering what is mediocre, Mexican food and what is good. Honestly, my plate of Mexican food tasted like the Mexican food. they serve at Disneyland which is not Mexican food at all. Like I said, the service and the atmosphere were great, I really tried my best to see the best side of it but honestly, I donât think we will be returning to this restaurant again I was very polite, and very honest with...
Read moreLast year I recommended this place to everyone I met. Even 6 months ago I did. After the last three visits though, I doubt I will every go back and I will never recommend it again. The prices have gone up $3-$5 per entree, The number of entres offered have been cut in half, the service was clipped and slow. Waiting on more napkins I found our server standing playing on his phone when I had to leave the table and go ask after waiting and he didn't come back with them. But the worst was the food quality. 6 months ago I could order a vegetable burrito and get a burrito stuffed with large, tasty roasted vegetables, plenty of cheese sauce and salsa verde. Yesterday it was full of beans, with a few small pieces of vegetables and stems, hardly any cheese or verde sauce. The rice was hard as a rock, the chips were stale. If I wanted a bean buritto, I would have ordered a bean buritto. My husbands steak burrito was at least 50% onion, so much he had to pull it out. I could have lived with the price increases and the cut in the number of entres offered. That is a fact of life at this point. But the quality going down so much is not acceptable. Is this new management who only wants profits? That would...
Read moreDonât eat here if there is a large party in progress unless you have time to kill! They are very clearly understaffed. We have a 1 hour lunch and have always had good service here. Had to wait long enough at door for 10 other patrons to come in behind us only to find out 5 were with a party already there, they were seated before us - which was fine! A young man came out from kitchen to seat us and bring salsa & tortillas- we never saw him again, we waited for our waitress to check us for drinks and possibly start order! The waitress (unfortunately no name given as she never acknowledged us) not only turned her back on us when we tried to get her attention to get at least water to our table but took partyâs order for drinks, brought drinks to each one and then started their order while informing them of different dishes and making light conversation and no sense of urgency! Unfortunately after over 30 minutes wasted patiently waiting for service with no acknowledgement on our lunch time we walked out still no water, drinks or food! The food is good but not worth the nonexistent service. We will look elsewhere for lunch going forwardâŚ. McDonald served us in...
