At a loss for words right now after being told to leave the establishment because my husband and I wished to express our experience after multiple issues.
Our Coffee was water (may have been the end of a pot or not made correctly) so we asked for a fresh cup which was much better. We ordered the Big Boy breakfast and Tranditional breakfast and one meal came out significantly sooner than the other (both meals the same type of dish just more food). I patiently waited for my husband to get his food before starting (5mins after receiving mine) and when taking a bite of my sausage link it was completely undercooked to a degree in which I've never experienced (like a mush gooey middle). I took my finger on the other sausage link and pushed down and could smash the link with my finger as well (see photo). I decided to pass on the sausage link and warm it up when I got home to finish the cooking process/firm it up and moved on to my over medium eggs. Now mind you, I am an experienced cook myself and make breakfast food for my guests weekly as well as have worked in several breakfast establishments throughout my life. My over medium eggs were cooked “over easy” with white and clear stringy substance instead of over-medium as ordered. I decided at this point I would finish cooking these as well at home until moving onto my hash browns that I ordered (to be extra crispy) and receiving just the opposite. My husband asked to speak to the manager to discuss these findings because we chose to give our business to this establishment and food is expensive and especially if it is not made correctly. My husband never cursed or became loud but voiced our frustrations just to be told by the female owner that we needed to leave and could not have to go boxes because “we didn't deserve them if we didn't like the food”. We stated several times we wanted our breakfast and wanted to pay for it, we just wanted it cooked and prepared the way we ordered it but we rudely walked away from by the owner after being told countless times to just leave. At this point, we were then chastised by another waitress who intervened and would not allow us to speak, cutting us off just to make excuses for the owners handling of the situation and that the owner gets her feelings hurt and we hurt her feelings (causing her to respond the way she did).
I am mind blown right now. I have been in the service industry and restaurants for over 20 years (serving, management, customer service, etc.) and I am appauled at this entire situation. Never in my life have I ever experienced or witnessed such awful treatment as a customer’s standpoint for asking for things to be prepared/cooked right? We never asked for our bill to be compensated or thrown out or anything for free? We asked for coffee to be coffee and not water, for my eggs to be cooked to the temperature that I was asked I wanted them to be, for my hash browns to be crispy and not mush, and for my sausage to have the consistency of sausage and not cooked oatmeal?
What an experience. The waitress even stated the rent amount they have to pay each month ($18,000) and that the owner can't afford to throw away food with how expensive it is. So I guess that makes it the customer’s problem and we have to eat wrong and undercooked food and take what we get just to keep the management/owners/servers happy and their feelings not hurt. How absolutely ridiculous this all was.
Word of advice- Here in America, we own up to our wrong doings and treat our customers with respect and dignity in the restaurant industry and do not shame our customers for sharing...
Read moreI wouldn’t give 1 star for this establishment. First time dining in and my wife and I were seated at the counter. Ordered coffee and Big breakfast platters each. The coffee tasted like water. We asked for fresh coffee and received it. My wife’s food is brought out and my food wasn’t brought out until 5 minutes later. We asked for the hashbrowns to be extra crispy and they weren’t. The eggs were supposed to be over medium. The whites were runny and still clear and lastly, the sausage was literally mush. By this point, I had lost my appetite. We asked for our food to be corrected and we were asked to leave and made to feel as if we were in the wrong for simply wanting our food cooked correctly. They even refused to give us “to go” boxes. I still offered to pay, but I feel as if they were embarrassed by our experience while seated at the counter in front of other guests. Sadly, we have video and pictures to prove that the other guests were disgusted by how they handed the situation and treated us the customer. All I can say is that I WILL NEVER return here. ZERO customer service skills, etc.. a waitress even had to come up and explain the managers behavior stating she isn’t from the US. Take your business elsewhere if you don’t know how to treat people...
Read moreWe were excited to try this restaurant, and boy were we disappointed. The service from our waitress was terrible. She was more worried about what was going on in the restaurant then taking care of us. My wife had no drink for 20 mins, i had to go up to counter and get one. The food? Cold and comes from freezer, not made fresh. Potatoes were old, sausage was dehydrated and cold, toast you couldn't cut with a knife and black, just very cold and terrible. No pride in their food or service. Managers responded, we bring the food right out when it's put up on server. We'll how can you have hamburger, pancakes, and eggs come out same time? Get a warmer for food. Seven people for breakfast and not one plate except pancakes and wrap were hot. Manager did offer to make food over, but would not trust them to not spit in food. Gave us 10% discount off of 115 dollar bill. Still came to $108. If this is how you care about food you serve and the customers, you will lose the potential of business. Very uninspiring and very disappointed. You are in a business where it's essential to produce good food for a good price with quality service. You failed on both. We all had stomach aches and diarrhea an hour later. We will make a complaint to the...
