Waffle House — Restaurant in Indiana

The place was crazy packed when we arrived, but you can expect that on a Saturday night. Even though they were understaffed the girls there were flying around everywhere, but still managed to make sure that every customer was taken care of and comforatable even if they had a small wait. This night we were more impressed then usual with our server. Not only did she take care of one whole half of the resturant serving she was ALSO cooking her and the other servers orders. She had her section filled up and still somehow managed to make sure all of her customers were happy, drinks filled, and even managed to keep a smile, remain calm, polite, attentive and a pleasent attitude under all the pressure of the what seemed to be a never-ending stream of customers. When we choose to go to a Waffle House it will for sure be the Corydon location and on 3rd shift. I will also always request Alyssa to be our server and if possible to cook our order as well. I'm honestly amazed on how smoothly everything went for not just us, but all the customers in general. All the other locations shut half the store down or only keep a few booths open i've noticed when theres a staffing issue, but this woman went above and beyond of what was required of her just to keep her customers comfortable and happy and have as little wait time as possible.Thank you ladies for making the ending to our evening such a lovely and fun experiance. I am giving 2 ☆ review based on the appearance of this restaurant (for food & staff scroll down).

Appearance: The floors looked absolutely disgusting. The floor was sticky, food everywhere, trash (straw papers, napkins and tops to the butter & jelly containers), it looked as though it hadn't been swept and mopped in days. We ate there around 10am, so it is unfathomable that this was done since opening. If it was then the staff should be more attentive to such cleanliness and procedures, especially because there were only 2 customers at the time in there and atleast 4 staff members.

Staff: The staff was very kind, and attentive to customers. The regulars that were there the staff knew by name and it was nice to see the genuine conversation and care they had for their regular customers. 🙂 The waitress we had was on top of refilling drinks, being sure that when the food dropped she brought it immediately.

Food: It was good and what you expect from waffle house. The eggs, requested medium, was on point, the waffle wasn't over cooked and the sandwich my husband got he was very happy with!

Suggestion: To waffle house i would just do a deep cleaning of the area and be sure everything is dusted off ceiling vents and steam clean & scrub the floor. When there are breaks in customers a quick sweeping would be awesome because it would make customers feel that the food and work area is clean and sanitary.

Kayla was our waitresses and cat was the so-called Cook's my food was cold and my grandson food was not cooked Kayla come to the table and tried to take his food back to cook it proper my chicken was cold and the bacon was burnt and I asked for coffee creamer for my cold coffee she brought me 4 for the hour that I was there and my pregnant daughter's food was cold they didn't even get my son-in-law order and come back to the table and asked what he had ordered so he just got up and walked outside Kayla brought my grandson's waffle with chocolate chips on top we sit there he done ate the waffle and then they bring him his two pieces of bacon that was burnt my daughter Miranda she didn't even get her order and then when we complain they told us to get out that they didn't have to serve us well they lost a lot of money there was seven of us and I always tip well at least our waitress Cindy and the cook James is very good to me when I go in there these two little girls were too busy goofing off and talking on the phone at first thing in the morning I'm going to talk to the manager January 4 2023 we got there 5:45 pm on a Wednesday evening and got out of there at 7:15 pm AND IT WAS NOT CROWDED plus there was two other people that was waiting to get their order and they walked out with us because of how rude Kayla and cat normally I love going to the waffle House they have good food and good employees but these two were very RUDE I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY GOING TO THE WAFFLE HOUSE WHEN THESE...
