Denny's — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I need to leave one cause this is the worst food I've had in a long. Time.   Maybe if a person eats nothing else but tv dinners, you might like this food.

No offense to the people here but

Dennys food is overpriced.

Small portions

Terrible food.

Sunday night, barely anything open my my family to eat at after being on the road and far from home.   We have small children so I don't want to just them mcdonalds or taco bell (hindsight, we would have been better off eating there.)

Food looks nothing like the menu.

My husband got "chicken wings" for an appetizer for 9.99. These were more like overpriced chicken nuggets with some barbecue sauce squeezed on top.

My "country fried steak, which I buy almost every time we eat at American food restaurant, looked like they pulled it out of a bag and fried it warm oil.  I took a bite and my mouth was filled with wetness and a nasty flavor.   I had like 3 pieces of brocali and a lil mashed potatoes and the worst gravy.   I would not have served this to anyone.

Pancakes looked like microwave rubber. My  4 year old daughter got the grandslam. She didn't even want to eat it. My husband tried the sausage and was like. "What is that?!"    I got my 8 and 6 year old the cou try fried steak with Mac n cheese and mashed red potatos and she wouldn't eat the Mac n cheese!! I told them to take their plate back and mine. All the food was so bad that the only one who ate was my husband who got an omelets, and he said it was bad.   And my other daughter who ate the grilled cheese, and she gave me half of hers.   We all left hungry after a 62 dollar bill.

I'm NEVER eating at dennys again.

It was so depressing.

I woke up this .orning still disgusted about our terrible experience and my older daughter said last night she felt  so upset last night and depressed.

No offense to the waitress and whoever came to talk to us while paying.  But the food was terrible.   I don't know how there are so many good reviews. These people must not cook at home.

Food is supposed to be a good experience not a depressing one.   They should have waived the whole cost. How can they seve...

I really hope management reads and recognizes this employee for the amazing young man he is.💕 Denny's has always been one of my family's favorite places to dine. This particular visit was made very special and warmly welcomed by a very kind and friendly server by the name I believe he said was Salon aka Winter. 🫶 He was very patient and kind to my whole family, but in particular and most importantly made my son feel very special after a very bad day. I really appreciate when people take the time and care to make customers feel one in a million instead of the most common service which is to feel like one out of a million. All of his suggestions were spectacular. Making a special drink for my mother and son which was his own version of a vanilla coke. ( Made with a vanilla cream instead of syrup) Which makes it taste refreshing and a float type of drink. Which later he added the vanilla cream to my Dr pepper and it was amazing!!!! 😍 We're not usually on that side of town, but next time we go to Denny's, we will definitely make sure to travel the extra 15 miles all because of this young man and the extraordinary experience we had with him in this vist. Thanks again so much Winter!! You are a very kind hearted, charismatic, considerate and have a lot of patience. Lol I really hope you get the recognition that you deserve!! My mother and I both have been servers for very long time. So we know how underappreciated servers are. Because of this, we really do appreciate when someone takes extra time to take special care of their customers. As we try to do the same. We know sometimes it can be very frustrating and difficult at times. Most people do not realize that it's not just about taking a order and bringing out food. It takes a really good memory and confidence and also a special type of person with a kind heart and like stated before a lot of patience to be able to be an actual good server or waiter/waitress. In this experience I would absolutely recommend this specific Denny's mainly due to such an amazing and kind server which can really determine rather you have a good experience or not. The food is usually always good, but if the server is in a rush or rude it definitely can ruin your day. 10/10...

Today we went around 9:50 and were seating rather quickly. It went very downhill from there. There were 3 of us and it took at least 20 minutes to be addressed by the server. By that time we were ready to order our drinks and food. We waited at least 30 min to just get our drinks. They were out of Dr Pepper which is no biggie, but I was not made aware until 30 min after ordering. I then asked for a chocolate milk I’m return. I was brought a water about 10 min later and no chocolate milk. Again no biggie I’ll just ask when she comes back. Well we waiting another 45 min to get our food. I’m 90 percent sure we were forgotten because I asked a different waiter if I could get my chocolate milk and the milk and food was brought out together. Our food was lukewarm at best. Maybe heated from sitting in the heater for quite some time. We ate our food because we were just hungry and didn’t want to wait for fresh food. We were promptly ignored the rest of our meal. We were not offered refills. Nothing. We waited another 30 minutes before she finally came back and I asked to speak to a manager. I normally am not one to complain but to be honest I didn’t want to pay for this meal. Food was cold, service was bad, etc. this is the most frustrating part. After I kindly asked for a manager I could hear our Server loudly complaining about our table and how I demanded to speak to a manager. The manager came out about 10ish min later and I was extremely nice. I just let her know that we were upset with the service and that her employee was being disrespectful and making a scene for asking for a manager. And that I would like my food taken care of. The most they would do is take 8 bucks off. We paid for the meal but I could hear the waiter behind the half wall saying how it’s ridiculous and that she was tired of our s*. She was not tipped. I always tip my servers, but other stuff helped us more than she did and the disrespect as I’m about to tip you regardless is what did it in. We will not be returning here and Dennys you need to talk to your employees about their attitude problems. Her section was not busy, maybe 4 tables and she ignored...
