God's Embrace Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I dropped into this coffee shop this morning and I loved it. It is a faith based coffee shop within what looks like, the recreation center. The iced latte was delicious and the prices were very affordable. The baked goods looked really good but I didn’t try any. Several of the staff were adults with special needs so I didn’t mind taking an extra minute as they navigated taking my order and preparing my latte. I believe some of the church members were there helping the staff learn these new skills. They were all so patient and genuinely kind to me that it was worth the extra minute it took to take my order. It reminded me of our local, small town coffee shop when I was a kid. I wasn’t rushed to hurry and finish my latte to give the table to another customer. There were plenty of available tables and I could take all the time I needed to work on my laptop. My personal MiFi worked well in the building which is a huge plus for someone who works remotely.They have tons of free, easy parking. It’s not a fancy place but the vibe was welcoming and it’s a treat to be somewhere where you feel like you’re truly welcome. When I started to leave, several of the staff called out to me, “Bye! Came in and was told that God may look down on me for not praying at the prayer box by girl with short brown bobbed hair and glasses. It was really gross to be told that when I came in with my daughter. So glad that the young lady with the long hair behind the bar made us feel welcomed and treated us with such kindness. I hope my generous tip goes directly to that beautiful soul, for she was like an angel to us. We will come back because of her and her lovely service. A wonderful growing local coffee shop on Indy’s east side. My first visit was a very pleasant surprise. Everyone was genuinely nice and friendly, and provided good service. My cup of coffee was flavorful and tasty. I will definitely return soon to enjoy more of their coffees and teas. The shop is located in the front of the Knights of Columbus Hall, and has room for both small groups and large groups. I recommend supporting this community oriented local...
