Avoid server Delores at all cost if you wanting to enjoy yourself and receive decent service.

Delores was my server last night, and to be honest I truly love Kultures food but Delores provided the worst service I have ever had last night and my friend and I are so easy going. She genuinely seemed drunk/ high, or on something unnatural and I say that not to be malicious. I asked myself several times if my girl and I were being punked.

Delores was very odd and off despite the kitchen playin with her or whatever she said was going on. We came in and ordered one drink each and 2 simple appetizers. She was so friendly at first, gave us several compliments, and immediately said she needed friends and write down her number. Then everything else after that went south. Delores fumbled so many times, and only delivered bad news and worst service after that. She charged us for a drink we specifically said was not wanted. Her manager or whomever that was did not correct the bill as she had asked at the table with us ( which honestly did not surprise me.)

We should have checked our bill thoroughly before leaving but we wanted to run out of there after that. Delores stated that she would have HER MISTAKE removed from our bill, but instead we paid for this unknowingly as well as food we did not ask for.

Overall Delores was very sloppy, and did not write anything down that we ordered (even though they have the hand held Posi’s in hand at the table). Delores took our order only to return again in 15 mins to ask what we ordered again (easy wings and waffle fries). We asked to cancel this (since service was only getting worse so of course we decided to stop spending money). Service at Kulture with Delores was so bad. I will follow up by conveying all this today in person to a manager to get the money reimbursed for being overcharged, however the disappointment still lingers. I left Delores a $5 tip (hardly 10% of bill and this is ONLY because I refuse not to tip being that Ive worked in service. (Delores you were serving 2 good tippers, 2 bartenders at that.) I visit here for the first time over Valentine’s Day weekend and I’d have to say I wasn’t impressed… They have a cover fee to get in regards of reason for visit. We went here to have dinner as we knew it was a restaurant atmosphere. Tho we had to pay 10.00 each to get in, seat ourselves, and waited forever to not only be acknowledged after placing our order it took forever to get our food. There was a crowd but it didn’t seem as if the crowd present was overbearing for the staff visible. After sitting at our table for about 15/20 minutes we finally stopped a lady who appeared to be the buster to ask her if there was someone that could serve us. Once the waitress finally came over she was nice but lacked a tentativeness. She took our drink order came back with the drinks then took our food order. The food took so long to come out I believe she stopped by 1 time during the wait for the food we then placed another drink order and we never seen her again until she finally brought out the food at that time we had to remind her we were still waiting on drinks we had ordered 15 minutes ago. As far as the food is concerned…we order the 6 rack lamb chops, steamed vegetables, w/cheese grits. The lamb chops are snack size, the vegetables were decent and the grits was cold. We also got the Kulture beef burger with waffle fries. The burger was nasty! It was a frozen Sams Club meat patty with a slice of American cheese on it. Overall the food was a disappointment we didn’t finish anything that was ordered, the drinks were good, the wait staff is friendly but slow (which may not be a result of them but hey) the music was coo, and the cover fee is just being plan greedy to charge for those who are coming for the restaurant. My husband & I stopped in on a Friday evening (not knowing it was a bar) because we heard the food is delicious. Started off a bit rocky but ended smoothly. We were patted down as we entered. Server asked us if we wanted to start off with cocktails and/or appetizers. I requested Pinot Grigio & Calamari (they don't sell Pinot & out of calamari). Okay alligator bites (out of those as well). For an entrée, my husband ordered oxtails on a bed of beans & rice since it says available Friday & Saturday only. (Out of oxtails as well. Side note: when they do have oxtails, they don't actually come with the beans & rice as listed on the menu). I ordered a vodka & pineapple, server brought me vodka & cranberry. We ended up ordering the wings appetizer (we requested it to come out before our entrées but they were brought out with the main dishes). The Garlic Parmesan & Caribbean Jerk is flame. I ordered the Blackened Salmon with Turkey Rice & Seasoned Vegetables. The flavor of everything is great. Would have liked my salmon & rice a tad less dry & veggies a little more crisp. My husband ordered the lamb chops with waffle fries & rice. Chops were so good I sucked the flavor out of the bone. LBVS. We ordered fried ribs to go (update you when we warm them up & eat them).
