New York Gyro and Indian Food ( Troy avenue ) — Restaurant in Indianapolis

While I'm a little bitter that Pasquale's is no longer here, I didn't let that intrude.

Had my first visit there the other day and the young man who waited on me, was friendly and professional. Prices are about the same as most places around here, portions were good sized. The lamb gyro was amazing, saved half of it for a "midnight" snack. The large fry was really good, it is hard to get good fries around this area.

I'd gotten a tenderloin for my Mom and she enjoyed it. The onion rings and the fried mushrooms were a tad over done, I think the heat might have been a tad too high for them, compared to the French fries, as the young man really watched the time of everything he prepared for me.

All around a solid 4.9 stars! Most definitely...

My daughter came home one evening and had some leftover food. She asked me if I wanted it, I asked where it is from, she said this lil place next to where they are building a new Grocery Store, I think. It was some chicken and rice, with tomato, cucumbers, lettuce, some sauce, lots of chicken and rice. Oh, and some Hot Sauce, if you like it hot! Anyways, I loved it, has a good taste and it filled me. Went back there my 3rd time, ordering the same thing. May try some of their other food. The Staff are nice and always smiling. I just cannot see or even think of bashing these people and their Food Business!! I will keep going there and YOU should too. Price is Right for filling your belly..... Enjoy them, I DID!! ...

We were a little hesitant as first-timers. They did a good job and food was good. The young man behind the counter was friendly. They keep the place pretty clean. Got the NY chicken and rice with white sauce and it was delicious the Mrs chicken gyro was good but a little spicy to her liking but good still. Fries were good and fresh from the fryer. (That was points there)... The dough balls in syrup desert was good too. (Eat it hot). And then just stay away from obvious bad choices like their pre-made chicken patty sandwiches for example. But everything made in house seems to be pretty legit. We will be back for that...
