I have been hearing about this place for several months and knew that I wanted to try it. At the time that I discovered them, I did not realize that they prepared crab/seafood boils. I came across an IG page, where the content creator had visited a couple of times and reference seafood boils along with the price point. At first I thought she had created her own boil and that it would be rather pricey. She tagged The Establishment and I was able to see the menu. I was able to see that there was a $29.99 boil that included: crab legs, crawfish, corn, potatoes, boiled egg, shrimp and sausage, YES ALL OF THAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE! 🤯 I ran my errands and decided to stop in solo dolo, there were quite a few people waiting at their tables as I reviewed the menu. There was a nice young lad taking orders, he questioned my questions regarding substitutions and oyster options, just being the perfect host and stand-in for his parents (well done mom and dad). I placed my order, I was made aware that there would be a wait as there were several boils ahead of me and I was okay with that. I was given a cup for refreshments, I took a seat at the table and just enjoyed the calm of the environment. Everyone that I encountered was friendly and helpful, eager to answer question regarding menu items. At last, my meal arrived, what a beautiful presentation, my seafood boil arrived with its companion, fried oysters. Now I did request spicy and I received mild but don't fret I quickly received spicy sauce and seasoning, easy fix wasn't it? I also surprisingly received utensils to aid in cracking the crab and one to remove the meat from the smaller legs which I have not even seen at the most fancy restaurants, never used it before if I must be truthful but it definitely came in handy as I did this time. The fried oysters were good, the flavor was nice, the coating stayed in place but I have to be honest, I may not be a fan of fried oysters and it has nothing to do with this establishment as this is my third time trying them I haven't really enjoyed them at anytime and I believe it is because of the soft texture. I really do, however ,enjoy char-broiled or oysters Rockefeller. The star of the show did not let me down, the seafood boil was delicious, very flavorful and fresh. Look at how huge the Crawfish are! The corn was juicy, the potatoes were tender, that boiled egg was soft which I prefer, the shrimp humongous, it cradle some of the juices in its shell. The crab was unproblematic and delicious. I'll tell you, I was full and when I left it appeared that I had more food than I started with, I just finished it today and ate on it twice more yesterday. My customer experience was just as I hoped for 😊. I'll be back... I WILL BE BACK! 10/10...

I was told Santiago's has a free paper with coupons inside so I picked up a paper located by the front door, ordered my food and used a coupon to pay. I mistakenly left my paper behind when I went to grab a drink. I asked if I left it behind and the cashier said yes she threw it away. I went to grab a new paper but the stack was gone. I asked the owner what happened to the stack, he looked me in the eye and said idk. I call BS! How did a stack of papers you saw me go to just disappear?! I know he threw them away because he doesn't want people using the coupons. I think that's horrible customer service to go out of your way to prevent customers from using coupons after chosing to publish an ad in the paper. That said the food is very good. I usually order the greens and fried shrimp. I like that the greens are a little spicy. I tried a grilled piece of basa fish for the first time. They asked what seasoning I wanted. I said blackened. The fish was grilled and then seasoned after cooked. You could tell they did not grill the fish with seasoning on it. Only one side had seasoning because it was an after thought. It would have tasted better cooked with seasoning on it....

On the northwest side of the circle city is an Amazing place for delicious, fresh seafood. Santiago's Seafood market is just that, a wonderful market with a huge assortment of fish and seafood. But what makes it even better is that they'll happily prepare for you whatever you choose!
Originally from Vera Cruz, it's clear this family KNOWS seafood and how to prepare it! Whether its the delicious calimari fries, blackened scallops, grouper, or a seafood boil, EVERYTHING that came out of that kitchen was top notch! Even simple hush puppies were a notch above what I've had almost anywhere else.
The service was also second to none. You can tell that the family loves seafood, and love people who love seafood! Extremely friendly and helpful. Willing to answer questions and offer suggestions.
The market itself is great and offers a number of small tables and benches for those who wish to dine in. But it might be tricky for larger groups (the tables are best for 2).
Overall do yourself a favor and give it a try... It was so good that after trying it the first time, we had to come back the next day to sample more! (Yes...
