take this from someone who used to work at this exact location. if you seat yourself and we don’t see it, we’re going to think another server seated you and are taking care of you. there is a reason that we have a “please wait to be seated” sign right at the door. it means PLEASE WAIT TO BE SEATED.
we’re very sorry that your food came out before your shake did, however, it’s very hard to find someone and hire them to sit there and make shakes all day and freeze their hands off on the shake cups.
we apologize that you’re not being acknowledged at the counter when you’re wanting to pay, the customers at the table continue to ask for things and we have to get those things to them before their food gets cold.
if you’re going to complain about the floor not looking mopped, wash your shoes before you come into the restaurant so you don’t add to the problem of hundreds of dirty shoes walking on the floor in one shift which causes dirty floors that fast.
some people have certain jobs and aren’t trained to do certain things. someone who does grill is not responsible for ringing in orders at the cash register. you will have to be patient and wait until someone can get to you.
they hire new servers all the time and a lot of times it’s that persons first job so please be patient with them as they’re still learning.
if your drink taste weird, that’s not our fault and we aren’t expected to know this. do you want us to sip your drink before we give it to you? probably not. so just tell us and we will fix it.
please do not complain about the wait for food when you chose to go indoors and eat. if you have time to dine in, you have time to wait.
people are not perfect. we forget things and mess things up all the time. we could take your order but then another table caught our attention and asked for something. and then another. and then another. so if we forget to bring you something or put in your order asap, please forgive us because it’s not mesnt to be in an ill manner.
the quality of the food should not affect your servers too at all. it is not their fault the kitchen messed it up. they make $2.13 an hour and tips are the only thing they have to rely on. so please keep that in mind when you choose not to tip based on time it took to come out and quality of the food.
please be mindful of other things that could be going on, things that are inevitable and things that we cannot control next time you decided to rate this establishment 1 star or say “0 stars” because we really do try our hardest. you just don’t see that because of your dissatisfaction....
Read moreI am beyond disappointed with the service and customer relations at this location. I went through the drive thru and ordered two sandwiches with everything on them. When I get home and go to begin eating my food, I take the first sandwich out and no toppings. So I go to the second sandwich and once again no toppings. I made it very clear when I ordered that I wanted everything on the sandwiches to the extent that the individual taking my order had to double check on the guacamole to make sure that they had some.
When I took the food back to this location, I walked in and the people working asked me if they forgot the toppings for the two sandwiches and that they forgot them. I had lost my appetite at this point so I asked the lady behind the register to refund me my $9.10 so I could go to another restaurant to get food. She went and got the "manager", Theresa. Now Theresa was absolutely zero help. Sure she offered to remake my food but I explained to her as I did the previous employee that I just wanted my money back to go elsewhere. Theresa then told me that the most she could do would be to have the food remade and that Steak 'n Shake is not permitted to give refunds for their mistakes. I asked to sphomecoming ask to her supervisor, William Hawkins III, who was not in. I asked Theresa if she would be able to use the phone in Steak 'n Shake to call William to resolve the matter. Theresa went to grab her phone and came back shortly stating that she did not have her phone or William's number. She then told me to either have my food remade or get out of th st akin shake location. Unfortunately, Google will not allow me to rate them with anything less than a single star.
This was the worst interaction I have had with this location. They have messed up my orders before but typically will resolve the issue without much headache. Now I am in the position that I am out my money, out the food that I initially ordered (not going to have them remake something that I'm not going to eat) , and waiting on a call back from the district manager for this Steak 'n Shake location. If you hav a choice, do NOT go to this location. This was hands down the worst experience with a Steak 'n Shake I have ever had. Read moreI love the food at Steak and Shake however when you are sitting in the drive thru it seems to take forever to get your food. And also the order takers don't seem to pay too much attention because they are constantly asking me questions about what you already told them very clearly. So i just visited here at 1215 am after holloween for a bite to eat. I ordered at the counter at 12:15 a.m. and did not receive my food until 12:51. I ordered a Frisco melt and fries and a garlic steak burger and fries chocolate peanut butter shake. Over half an hour to get my food and was still waiting for my shake and only after I asked for a refund they finally made my shake. The cook was by himself on the line and they had already given away my food to somebody else and that is why it took so long and was about to give me a garlic steakburger which I guess was mine that I know for a fact I've been sitting on the line unwrapped for at least 10 minutes. I would not accept it and ask them to make another one along with my Fresco melt. The cook was very agitated and was cussing in full ear shot of me and other customers that we're sitting at the counter. And when he did give me my food didn't say a word just dropped it on the counter in front of me carelessly. I hope the person who runs this business sees these reviews because that was absolutely ridiculous conduct. I'm only adding to one of my previous reviews because it didn't show up in my timeline for me to review it again.
