Culinary Delight with a Cajun Twist
If you’re on the hunt for a dining experience that blends quick service, warm hospitality, and mouthwatering Cajun-inspired dishes, look no further! This new establishment offers a rotating menu packed with exciting choices that will keep you coming back for more. With ample free parking and both indoor and outdoor dining options, this spot is perfect for any occasion. The friendly and efficient service makes the experience even more enjoyable, ensuring that your food arrives hot and fresh. Today, I indulged in the “Catfish Dinner,” which came with two massive sides and a slice of white bread. The catfish was fried to perfection in a crispy cornmeal batter, delivering that satisfying crunch with every bite. Side One: Red Beans and Rice This dish was a hearty blend of beans, rice, sausage slices, and shredded turkey, seasoned just right to bring a gentle heat that lingers. Side Two: Gumbo Greens A flavorful mix of collard greens, rice, sausage, turkey, and other delicious ingredients, this side had just enough spice to make the back of my neck sweat—pure culinary magic. The food here is so good it’s almost indescribable—seriously, it’s the kind of “jump back and smack yourself” deliciousness that words can’t fully capture. I even brought home some fresh-off-the-grill baby back ribs for later, because why not extend the experience?
For a crazy good Cajun meal, I highly recommend stopping by. Make this your next destination on your culinary journey—you...
Read moreJerk chicken and jerk ribs were wayyyyyy too spicy. Still cooked well and tasted good (without the skin) but the spice caught me off guard.
The sides.. I really really didn’t want to come at their sides.. but after you review these videos.. you tell me?
Mac and cheese was the best one but tasted like broccoli or sage or something is being added. Like that one auntie that won’t stop adding special ingredients to basic meals. Didn’t wanna budge coming out of the container.
Dirty rice was okay.. just not the flavor profile I would expect (again.. personal preference)
The sweet potatoes… no. They weren’t close to fresh and orange anymore.. they were brown and seemed like they were packed some time after being sold to me.. wouldn’t budge out of the container either. What is this.. Dairy Queen?
The cabbage.. I love cabbage. I did not love this cabbage. Again.. some ingredients that somebody back there loves is being added and it’s throwing off the taste (for me).
Lots of customers were in there raving about the food and recipes so somebody loves it.. I did not.
Needless to say, spent about $50 and only ate the chicken and 2 of the 3 ribs I got. All the sides went to waste. 😔
First time trying and will not return.
Update: dropped my review to 1 star since this establishment replied passive aggressively.. I know jerk sauce is spicy love.. I eat it all the time. You’re adding TOO...
Read moreI can't express enough how amazing this food is. This food has me calling in and giving compliments to the chef, and writing reviews. I never write reviews. My favorite is those Jamaican patties. I have my favorite place in Florida that I've gone to for years, being in indiana 5 years, I've never been able to find anything comparable until Trap Got Sol, and they blew my FAVORITE place out of the water. Everything is seasoned to perfection. I can't wait to try their ox tail, gumbo greens, and lamb. Really, all of it. This place is really making a name for itself. I see some reviews stating there was a long wait, and sometimes they are out of items, but thats fine with me because I know the food is FRESH, and they must be selling out. Thats the kind of place I WANT to spend my money!! This place is the perfect gem, especially for that area, which has the same food you can find anywhere else. Not now, Trap Got Sol popped up with some spice and shook that area up haha! Yes they deserve ten stars, yes they deserve this long review, and yessss you should go there, right now. If you like creole style food, this will be your favorite...
