First I would like to point out the unprofessionalism in many of the responses from this establishment. I am grossly appalled that the manager(s)would respond to reviews in the manner in which they do.
The manager is just as crass as he is in his comments to other reviewers in person. I am honestly shocked he works in the service industry as he lacked sensitivity and empathy. We drove over an hour and 15 minutes with our infant to have dinner/check out the beers here with friends(they also had a 7 month old baby girl).
From the moment my family which included my 6 month old son, his dad and our dog walked in we did not feel welcome. We brought along our dog because the website nor did their social media mention that dogs were not welcome. Our friends also mentioned dogs were okay and my son’s father had previously lived in Indiana and had brought his pup 🐶 there before. We planned to sit outside with our pup since they have such expansive patio space. For clarity we didn’t expect to sit inside.
This was my first time in Indianapolis and I was sincerely excited to try a brewery here. I am from Austin, Texas where breweries here are so inviting to dogs and children. My son is extremely well behaved for an infant and has been going to breweries and restaurants since he was 2 weeks old. It is disappointing that my first experience in Indianapolis was not an inviting one. I know they don’t care that we won’t be back but we will be sure to mention to our friends and family to avoid this brewery.
I would also advise to please add to your website and social media accounts that dogs are not allowed. This is the first time I have ever been to brewery in general that doesn’t allow dogs outside. I would also hope the manager develops more of a professional demeanor. I understand if you don’t allow dogs, however, the situation could have been handled differently. It has been awhile since I have worked in the service industry but I would have handled the situation extremely different. I would have made suggestions of other breweries/restaurants with patios in Indianapolis that allow dogs and made it a point to more understanding of the situation at hand. I especially would have been more sympathetic to a group with two infants and an elderly dog but honestly I don’t think you could have paid this guy to care...
Read moreGreat food, Great service, Great time! Had a large family event on a Sunday afternoon celebrating my son's birthday. The staff and manager on duty (MOD) were super helpful in making sure everyone in my party felt welcomed. The servers had no issue taking multiple orders and splitting the checks according. Food was brought out hot and quicker than expected, given the party size. The servers never broke their smiles and were courteous to seniors and children, which is sadly rare nowadays at many restaurants and entertainment venues. The place wasn't packed, which I'm sure helped, but there were still plenty of guests and other families eating during the same time as well. The patio/outdoors courtyard area was closed because of broken furniture do to high-winds/storms the day before (at no fault of the brewery), but for our safety we were advised to stay indoors as the area was off limits. Even with only having access to the private party area--which is very spacious and able to accommodate 40+ ppl comfortably-- the toddler/kids were still able to play and safely run around without bumping in to chairs, tables and family members. It was also nice being able to close the doors to the main room to have privacy while watching the women's NCAA Championship game, or rather give other guests and families privacy while we cheered, laughed and had fun. I would highly recommend, especially if looking for a family friendly restaurant/brewery venue that won't break the bank, the food is served hot and the beers are served cold, and is close to the...
Read moreIt was our second time visiting. The first time didn't go so well. We (a party of 4)walked in and were told it was an hour and a half wait. I looked and counted 7or8 tables open. We were not waiting that long for a table and ended up down the street. Fast forward 3 months we received a gift card from a friend and thought we'll try again. No wait at all not busy. Really good service Eric was very attentive ( at first). Ordered an app and drinks. Cheese curds, ( not cheese curds, but cubes) still really good. Received our food in a timely manner. The burgers were very good. My wings were sub-par, and the berry salad looked really nice. Homemade dressings. We tried both ranch and blue cheese. Thumbs up. Here's the kicker, the manager. Got our check and gave them the gift card only to have it rejected by the manger as stated by our server. He asked if we would like to speak with him and of course we said yes please. He came to the table very annoyed. He kept saying how he couldn't do anything because ownership changed hands. He must have said at least 8 times how he couldn't do anything. He dimissed us right away. We were cordial however annoyed. We didn't engage him to disrespect but kept thinking if you're the manager it's in your power to do something to make it right. 10% off the bill, a gift card to say sorry come back again... nothing. " I can't do anything " was all he kept saying. Not even a thank you for a 150$ tab. It's sad because the food was good. The manager is a real problem. Won't give you my business or recommend this...
