I was introduced to the Vanilla Bean Bakery by our receptionist while I was spending time in our Indy office a few years back and they had catered in some holiday treats. I was so impressed that I ordered two dozen cookies to take back home with me for that year's holiday get together with my family. Finding any consensus amongst my family is not an easy task, but the one thing everyone agreed on was that I should have brought more of these cookies. Both kids and adults alike loved them.

Ever since then, the cookies have been a staple of the family's Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts. Then Covid hit, my office closed in Indy and as we inched ever closer to Christmas I began to realize that there was little chance we'd be any near Indy this year to get our cookie order. Vanilla Bean's very own Kristy came to the rescue though. She went out of her way to accommodate our cookie order this year and get everything shipped right to our door. The cookies were beautiful as always and in perfect condition thanks to the care that was taken in packing them. Christmas is saved. Thanks again VBB, you're the best. See you...

Wow, wow, and wow! We were in town for a short 5 night stay to watch our grandchildren while our son and Dil had taken a birthday trip to Austin, Texas. During their absence, we pulled together a surprise Austin Texas birthday party. Thanks to Jim & Kristy at Vanilla Bean for creating this master piece of a cake! It is exactly as I had imagined and more. The craftsmanship was on point! The customer service was over the top. It was a very pleasant experience with nice people. We highly recommend Jim & Kristy and truly truly appreciate them being there at the right time. Our Dil was soooo surprise, not so much for the party, because the grandkids gave it up as soon as they got home. But... she had no idea what the cake looked like. When she saw the cake she couldn't take her eyes off of it. Taking pictures at every turn. She thought the cake was one of the most amazing cakes she had ever seen! It truly was! Thanks again, Jim & Kristy, for making our special moment completely...

I have been meaning to write this review, but I have let time get away. I ordered several dozen individually wrapped cookies for an outdoor graduation in summer 2020. While they looked fine, they tasted horrible. Honestly Kroger or package sugar cookies taste 100% better than these. They were bland and very hard and crumbly and seemed old and stale. I had nearly 3 dozen cookies go completely untouched and eventually in the trash. Guests did ask where they were from as they thought perhaps they were not from an actual legit bakery. It was not only embarrassing but a complete waste of money. Perhaps their other baked goods are fine, but stay away from expensive...
