Been here twice within the last two weeks because we really like the Grill & Chill menu and ice cream. First visit, we were second in the drive thru and I thought the lady in front of us was ordering the whole store for as long as she sat at the comm, but I realized once we got up there that it wasnt her but the drive thru guy. We had the worst time getting the guy to understand what we wanted. I didnt time it but it felt like 10 minutes before we got through to the window. I am just glad we weren't in a hurry to get somewhere! Saw the guy behind us experience the same long ordering experience. Once we got to the window, we had to keep careful eye on what we had recieved as we had to keep telling them what we were missing from our original order. I had a bacon burger and about choked on the floppy, rubbery, practically uncooked bacon. Ice cream was recieved with the sides sticky and already messy with ice cream splashback, so I had to wipe it off before putting it in my car. The second time we visited was on Sunday, June 30th around 7:30pm. The drive thru line was very long and not moving so we decided to take a chance with the dine-in. There were about 9-10 people waiting on the lobby for their orders. Service was again slow and at some times very unprofessional. The gal taking orders was asking 'what do you want', which could have been asked in a more friendly manner for sure and one gal seemed to not know what she was doing at all. I asked for napkins when she handed me our last ice cream order (as there wasnt any in the condiment area) and she just told someone else. They both kept doing something else until I waited so long I walked out without any. The dining area was a disaster. Dirty tables, no where to sit, and a bunch of trash strewn about. Behind the counter looked no better, one gal had chocolate all over her forearm close to her elbow. I know ice cream can be dirty work and they were busy but it was a testimate to how unprepared they were for the evening rush. With as slow as our service was when there were only three cars in the drive thru, I can understand how they would be a wreck with a larger group to service. Would I go back....probably, but only because there isnt another Grill & Chill that is accessible. ......Although, there is a A&W down...
Read moreI absolutely hate to make a fuss over something so trivial, but it's starting to get ridiculous. I go to Dairy Queen semi-regularly and get the original cheeseburger (it's the best plain and simple burger in town, I've eaten at every burger place here) a reg sized cheese curd, a Pepsi and now for the offending item: a Royal Reeses Peanutbutter blizzard, with chocolate ice cream. A while back, the Dairy Queen test kitchen saw fit to change my beloved peanutbutter treat to one with marshmallow fluff in it...which I do not like the taste of. So I asked the first time after I saw the menu change if it was possible to make it the old way, they said yes and then for 3 or 4 times after that, it was made perfectly everytime. A nice core of peanutbutter, well mixed candies, and a lid when I asked. Then things turned for the worse, I'm sad to say that almost every single time I've ordered this blizzard after that has been made in multiple wrong ways. They'll make it as a fluffernutter, or they won't make it with chocolate ice cream, or they'll make it with chocolate ice cream but marshmallow fluff instead of the peanutbutter. Every single time, I'm very careful to tell them exactly what I want...yet they still make it wrong. If I was an angrier person, I might think they were doing it on purpose, and up to now I've quelled that thought because dairy Queen has been one of my favourite chains since highschool. If it had only been a couple times, I wouldn't be writing this, but it happens more often than not, it's fairly expensive, and it really drags down the experience I have going there. I simply don't understand how they get it so...
Read moreDisrespectful Teenagers manning the drive thru, provided lackluster service at best. Waited 5 minutes before even being greeted. The person order taking, a boy, was only able to input one order at a time, and was very rude when asking the guest to repeat themselves. He still managed to screw it up. It was ver difficult for him to enter 2 chicken strip baskets 1 - 6 piece with a large drink and 1 - 4 piece no drink, both with gravy and 1 kids strip meal with gravy. Arrived to the window only to be treated rudely by all staff i had the displeasure of interacting with. It is freezing cold -1, and your staff saw the window down, would wait for me to roll the window up, and then act like they were going to serve, i would roll the window back down and they would do something else. Finally received my order, the chicken strips were extremely small, more like a finger, and the fries were ice cold. For the money i paid $18.xx, i certainly expected better service and better quality of food. Definitely will not be back to this location. I really hope the 1 million dollar franchisee fee bites this location in the rear, or they smarten up and hire individuals that want to work, and take pride in their position, rather than acting like they are doing the customer a favor. When in fact it is the other way around... Always remember, if your customers go away, your...
