We stopped here on our way from Northern California back to Arizona. Based on reviews, Maps said it would be similar to Viva Zapata's in Las Vegas, NV. NO WHERE NEAR being like such restaurant. It is actually an insult to Viva Zapata's in being compared to this place! Upon entering I sensed an unpleasant smell in the establishment but ignored it and went on to ordering. The attention from the waitress was not impressing whatsoever, below average I would say. I ordered a bean sope with a shrimp enchilada. As I began eating, it tasted average. The sope was half cooked only, you could still tell the masa hadn't been cooked all the way. Worst part was when I felt some sort of hair in it as I was chewing. INDEED it was a hair! That was the end of it. We had already paid our bill so the waitress NEVER returned to our table nor was she visible, neither would anyone else bother to ask if we needed anything else. Needless to say, the bill was, from my perspective, incongruent with the quality of food. + $76 for three people, add the tip for quality lacking waitress....NOT EVER AGAIN! I just decided to end my visit at this hygiene lacking place. This is my first and...
Read moreWe decided to try this place out last hour before closing time and expected bad service.. but they were Great! Although they seemed SUPER BUSY CLEANING they stopped what they were doing to greet us, seated us, brought our chips and salsa, (red chip salsa was spicy/perfect) and took our drink orders. We made our orders and in about 10 minutes were served fresh very warm food. The green taco salsa was not spicy at all unfortunately.. so we used the red chips salsa instead. The food was perfect, no complains at all. The workers were very friendly and happy, although it was almost closing time and usually ppl are rude around closing times. They made us feel welcomed instead of a nuissance. Ambience was perfect and music was loud which made me comfortable. The prices were good I hope they don't raise them and the chavelas were delicious! I rarely tip as much as I did that night, thank you for making us feel welcomed and for the delicious food. We live nearby and can't believe we never tried this place!! We are defenately coming back, and bringing our kids next time. The kids menu is very...
Read moreFirst of all, I have never understood the need for a jukebox in a restaurant. Inside a bar yes, but a restaurant, no. So, we showed up on a Saturday morning right after opening. Once inside we were promptly ignored by the two waitresses. Finally, we were told to just sit wherever we liked. After a long while, our order was finally taken by a waitress that clearly didn't want to be there on a Saturday morning. Then a customer decided to put some money in the jukebox. After a couple of songs, I asked if it could be turned down. The waitress made a big show of doing that, but succeeded in turning up the volume. After an even longer wait, our food showed up. The machaca and egg was covered in a red sauce that was not to our liking. My juevos rancheros wasn't much better, about a third of the potatoes were undercooked and another third overcooked and actually burned. There was plenty of nearby parking and the restroom needed a good cleaning. Not sure if it's worthy of a...
