Disappointing First-Time Experience – Lack of Transparency

I visited this dispensary for the first time on 5/9 and was really looking forward to supporting a new spot. Unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed.

I placed an order through Weedmaps and received a 30% first-time customer discount on a product listed at $65. After the discount, I paid $44. While in-store, I also purchased a $50 Mother’s Day promo bag—totaling about $145 with tip.

Here’s the issue: I later found out the product I bought was actually marked 50% off in-store due to its expiration date (June 2024). None of that was mentioned on Weedmaps, and no one at the counter let me know it was nearing expiration. I wasn’t shown the packaging or given any heads-up. As a first-time customer, I expected transparency and at least fresh inventory.

When I called the store, I first spoke with someone named Jay who understood my concern and said he’d speak to a manager. Instead, I got transferred to someone else (Jessica) with no context, and I had to explain everything all over again. She kept repeating that the product was discounted due to age—but that wasn’t told to me at any point. I was referring to the first-time buyer discount, not the in-store markdown I was unaware of.

Honestly, the $13 price difference wasn’t the main issue—it was the lack of clear communication, the way I was passed around with no resolution, and how casually my concerns were dismissed. Selling close-to-expiring products without telling customers—especially first-timers—just feels shady.

I came in wanting to support the business and even spent more than I planned while browsing in-store. But the trust is gone. This wasn’t the experience I hoped for, and I won’t be returning unless I see changes in how customers are treated...

Given Indio's historic reputation of being the city of festivals, this is the once small town's long overdue new and only weed dispensary. Fittingly in the heart of downtown Indio, this establishment, similar to the surrounding satellite palm trees, blends in quite modestly with the mom-and-pop taquerias, the sparse dead-end bars and restaurants, and the rough abandoned corners of the town. Like most desert weed shops, this place has products that range from made to please the foofoo yet incognito retired golfer (overpriced 8ths) to their full-gram pre-rolls for under ten bucks (for the desert rat). In other words, their prices are fair depending on what you're looking for. But what's truly remarkable is that the folks who work here are obviously East siders- meaning you'll be dealing with the most genuine types of people you'll find. Their bud-tenders are also knowledgeable and cool (unlike the temperature just outside the blacked out doors). So gladd we finally got one in Indio. Parking is a great small little cute shop. Love thier travel theme . Get your passport, ready. Prices are okay they always have a deal or promotion going on .
