The food was marginal at best. Only 2 people in the restaurant at dinner hour. Our server was not very friendly. The servings were small and overpriced. My friend ordered chicken tenders and they were like something from a frozen bag and dumped into the fryer and when he asked for a side of honey mustard and barbecue sauce for the tenders it took 5 minutes to get it. When he did get it they actually brought 3 very small containers of it for 3 very small tenders. He only wanted 2. To too it all off we were charged 2 dollars for these dipping sauces. The waitress never mentioned an upcharge for the sauces. They actually had the audacity to charge 2 dollars for these extremely small like tablespoonful of sauces. Absolutely ridiculous!! I will never and would advice anyone else to NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. I eat out at restaurants on a daily basis all over the nation and I don't understand how Bo James stays in business. Absolutely...
Read moreWas pretty annoyed by the experience. My shoes were sticking to the floor, there was gum all over the bottom of the table, and the table we were sat at was incredibly unsteady, wobbled at the slightest movement. I’m not typically thrown off by the environment, as long as the experience was positive, but it wasn’t. I ordered the Hot Strips, which seemed to be frozen chicken reheated and tossed into franks buffalo sauce. My friends got an order of cheese fries, but the fries were incredibly bland and there was very little cheese. To top all of this off, the staff seemed incredibly unprofessional. The staff was all gathered in one place by the bar, making tik toks, and being rather loud. The waitress was also pretty unprofessional, which is fine, I didn’t expect a fine dining experience, but it just felt like she didn’t want us to be there. Overall, just an odd experience and one that felt silly to have to pay...
Read moreWent to Iowa City for the first time to go to the Badgers/Hawkeyes game. Parked the car and this was the first bar we went to. Sat down at a table ordered a round of beers when an extremely rude little hag of a woman told us the table was for dining only. There were 4 tables open when we arrived and 14 tables available when we left. Our young college student waitress was fantastic and friendly. We were informed that the hag was the actual owner of the business. Another customer requested 1 tv be turned to the Alabama game and the owner refused to turn 1 of the 12 tvs off the Ohio State game. Terrible introduction to the local establishments. I would never recommend Body Odor James to anyone. Feel bad for the young employees, who were all great, to have to work for such a miserable little...
