@Scout’s Honor Iowa City is absolutely delicious night out for pizza. They have deals throughout the week, menu features pizza, appetizers, and other American Fare. #pizza #wings #iowacity #restaurant #familyfriendly

On this night we visited Scouts Honor in Iowa City. We heard about their pizza but the rest of the menu is SOLID! The place is super cool! It is very modern, very open space, yet very comfy. So cool in fact that they have a camper to dine inside, inside the place! So cool. Their bar is very sophisticated, nice surprise in a college town. They showcase local brews, of very high quality, and wide variety. I enjoyed the hazy IPA from a local microbrewery, sadly, I can’t remember the name. But… we were here for the food. Pizza Wings Let’s start with the knots… these were insanely good! They’re like fried pizza dough with olive oil, garlic and goat cheese marinara. BOOM! The explosion of flavors! The perfectly fried dough, with the hint of garlic and dipped in melts, gooey and extravagant goat cheese atop marinara sauce. Dipping the knot in this gods cocktail of deliciousness was Chefs-kiss! If that wasn’t enough, the Twice fried wings came flying in! The were like models dressed in luscious Maple Hot and Garlic Herb dresses. The were so crispy and tasty. Such trickery to the tastebuds! Then came the main event. Like a UFC fighter making a championship debut in a crowned Vegas venue the pizza come galloping in. And what an entrance that was! The pie came in on the hot plate and floated across the table to its rightful resting place in the center of the table. With 4 sets of eyes in focusing intently on the scents of Itali Sausage, Pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Bacon and Mozzarella. It was a party of the senses! Scout’s Honor… keep up the good work, you are definitely our go to spot!

Scout’s Honor is my favorite place to go in Iowa City, and they make my absolute favorite pizza. I’m from Chicago, so I’ve had a lot Of good pizza. The PJ Pizza from Scouts Honor is the best though. Hot Honey, Pepperoni, and amazing crust sums it up. The only place that is comparable is in Chicago and called Jimmy Pizza Cafe (and my brother is the chef there so my opinion is bias.). For real though— if you haven’t tried the PJ, you have to try it. The cheese curds were also delicious. Not to mention, Rachel is awesome, and the atmosphere in this establishment is top notch. It’s hard to find a go to bar in Iowa City due to most of them catering to a ā€œstudent atmosphere,ā€ but they do a really nice job at Scout’s Honor. I follow their instagram, and it does look like a party in the evening, but I always have a nice time when I stop by during the day. Thank you Rachel and the Scout’s Honor team! I am looking forward to visiting Camp soon, as I believe the establishments are related. 😁

The atmosphere inside is really cute. They had national park posters all around, cute lights hanging and a cool seating area which was a travel van with seats. I ordered takeout which consisted of a pizza (the PJ), scout knots and their donut holes. I would say the food was very much typical bar food. The pizza was not my favorite something about the crust didn’t sit right for me. I got the normal crust but it was grainy almost in texture to me. The sweet honey like sauce was very interesting on the pizza. I will say I can typically eat a few slices of pizza but I didn’t want more past 1 slice. The scouts knots looked great and didn’t taste bad but it coated my mouth with grease. As for the donut holes, that was a pleasant sugary surprise with the purple cream cheese.

If you’re going out for drinks and want a cute place to vibe and just grab a quick appetizer sure cute spot for that. For food, in my opinion...
