Overall a decent place to eat. Place is definitely quite small (and can be a challenge with parking in the front being so close to the road at times). The food was good. I ordered their Cuban sub with a side of fries and a large drink. The total came up just over $10 after tax. I'd say that the overall cost to food was perhaps a little on the high side but not by much. The Cuban sub was prepared well, however they did miss the more crucial part which is the pickles! It was on the description but perhaps was missed when I asked for no tomato (which that is strange enough to see on a Cuban in the first place...). The meats were portioned properly and the sub itself was toasted well. The fries I would compare them to Five Guys as they are a natural cut fry. They could have been cooked a little longer but they were good still.
The only surprise to me is that for a place called a sandwich shop, I would have expected more sandwiches. They had your run of the mill basics but nothing besides 2 or 3 specialty sandwiches. Nothing wrong with that as long as they do good with what they have.
Would I come back? Yes I would. Are there better places in Columbia? For sure but for the Irmo area where this is located in, it is a welcomed departure from the heavily chained restaurants in the...
Read moreDrove about 20min to get food. I run an errand only to get home and discover I was given the wrong order. I call the store, speak with the manager and she determine that the worker gave me the wrong order. She then asks if I want to come back and pick it up? I order it while I was out, why would so want to drive another 40min to get the food I should have been given the first time?? I go back before my next meeting. I walk in, the manager walks away. The person who gave me the wrong order gives me the right order and doesn’t event apologize! Who does that? Normally I would go off but I was too tired to argue. Not only was I not offered anything for being given the wrong order and having to drive all the way back but the food was terrible. Ordered the pancakes which were tough and not even easy to cut with a real knife. The grits taste like overcooked rice. The omelette and toast were at least edible. Ik not sure if it was because it was sitting or not but that also speak the poor service. This will be my first and last time due to terrible customer service and terrible food Disappointing and very...
Read moreI purchased multiple platters and spent over 200.00. When I arrived the line was long so I went up to the side of the counter and asked the young man behind the counter for my order. It was paid for over the phone days before when I ordered. He was really nice and asked if I wanted him to carry it out for me. I responded “Yes, thank you”. Well on the way to the door, an older man yelled his name and told him to check the ticket to make sure I’d paid for it. The young man stated “I did” and then he continued to carry my order out. I’m not sure why he thought I’d actually leave the place without paying but I was the only black face in the establishment so maybe that played a part. I’m not sure if he was a jerk or a racist. Either way, they will not get my coins ever again.
@the owner , thank you for the apology. I was very taken back, however, I didn’t say anything , I just continued out the door. The young guy who carried the sandwiches out for me , I believe his name was Cooper if I’m not mistaken. He was really nice and I...
