Last night (Wednesday January 20th) ate at this Firehouse Subs. We were in town from Greenville South Carolina. We arrived at the restaurant around 8:15 to 8:30 PM. We ordered the same thing we always do, a large steak and cheese and a fountain drink. The staff seemed friendly but there was a big rush to clean the store. First off I filled my drink with Coke Zero. It was nasty. It tasted like the lines needed cleaned plus really watered down. I dumped that out and then got a Coke and it tasted about the same. Finally got Dr. Pepper and while it was drinkable still tasted watered down. We finally got our food and upon opening our food container and the top of the bun was covered with grease. Upon picking the sandwich up the bun was also mushy and soggy on the bottom, as well as the bottom was cut really thick and the top was really thin. The meat on the sandwich was lukewarm at best. At this point I wanted to say something but everyone was busy cleaning. About halfway through eating realized the cheese wasn't very melted. The meat texture was off. The peppers and onions seemed not cooked very well. When I took my last bite I realized the bun wasn't even toasted. It just tasted to me like the flavors were even melded together. I wonder if they had a system for precooking a little meat and just haphazardly throwing food together to close and get out of the store quickly. This was the worst experience I have had at a Firehouse Subs. It really left a bad taste in my mouth and do not recommend this location at all. Will be a while before I eat...
Read morethis review is based on my regular visits for the past 3 or so years.
this firehouse location has been going down hill gradually and seems to have sped up in the past 6 months. might have some correlation to this pencil thin, ignorant, rude, high school drop out, etc lady that may be a manager here. just every time i go in and she’s there it’s 100% always been a bad experience.
she straight up yells (hence the rude) at customers aggressively, raises her voice disrespectfully to employees, and has provided awful service outside of customer service. she’s made me and another customer wait to start our orders while she left the store and directed another employee to “not worry about us” til she got back, presumably for a smoke break.
it just seems pretty coincidental when she’s working and huffing and puffing about the other customers and i are sitting waiting impatiently due to long wait times, in a messy, unswept restaurant. not sure if it’s her or what but it’s also too hot inside and makes everyone irritable including her probably.
on top of the dirty dining area, why i gotta use the bathroom lookin like this...
Read moreI order from this Firehouse location frequently (about every week). I had an issue on March 24th and reached out to Firehouse online and STILL haven't heard back from them. It's been 2 1/2 weeks. I don't recommend ordering online at this location because of their proven track record of not being ready on time. After my sub is supposed to be ready for pickup, it shouldn't take another 20 minutes for it to be made. I never received my sub, as I couldn't wait any longer, and haven't been contacted about a refund or even just a replacement sub. This speaks volumes about the owner or general manager (not sure who handles customer service issues). It's apparent that the customer is not a priority no matter how much money you spend with the store. At the time of this review I currently have 170,407 points with them. I'm far from a person who has only ate there...
