Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Irmo

Updating this for May 2023... the store and food and service are hit & miss depending on who's working, and if a manager is there. Last month in April, I ordered online, had it delivered because I was down with my back issues, the app said it would be delivered in approx 55 minutes. It was over 1.5hrs until delivered and the pizza was wrong (I live 1/2 mile away). Last week, I ordered on the app for pickup for clients I clean for, I go pick it up 35 minutes later, I waited a couple of minutes to give them time, kept looking different angles inside to see if I could catch someone's attention... no one there, looks dark really... so I knock on the window, no one arrives, I wait a couple more minutes... I go park, walk to the door, it's locked. Asked the woman standing outside if the place is closed, she had no idea (worked at the store next door), the lobby looked dark. So I walk to the window, knock again, a lady finally comes to the window and our conversation went like this: "Your front door is locked and no one came to the window", "Oh, you should have driven up, it would have triggered the bell", "yea, did that already", "oh, I was in the bathroom", "ok...", gave her my name, got the pizza, no offer of napkins or anything, thanked her and I left. Pizza was not complained about by my clients. When we ordered again for my family last week (delivery) the pizza crust was not cut all the way through on either pizza, and the crust was actually splitting underneath (and very dark on one of them). Maybe the dough was rushed and not allowed to rise properly? Anyway, I typically love the Hut, grew up loving it, but it's becoming a rare thing to get "great" or "perfect" every time anymore. August 2024 update. This location continues to improve. The quality has been good and consistent. Service, while still sometimes slow, has been friendly considerate.

Feb 2024 update: my last couple of visits have been much better. Accurate order and good quality. Keep it up! Adding back 2 stars.

This location can make a good pizza but only on a good day. My last two orders have been wrong. First time they didn't put the breadsticks in the Big Dinner Box and the pizzas were only half baked. I waited over a month before trying them again and they messed up this order too. I ordered a Big New Yorker and they didn't put any pepperoni on it! It's the Big Yorker that they advertise with having tons of pepperoni! How do you mess that up?

The workers are also questionable when it comes to sanitary serving conditions. Sitting in the drive thru waiting for the order and you can watch them box the orders. Last night the guy couldn't get the pizzas off the peel so he lifted them off piece by piece to put it in the box. Everyone else was standing around talking.

I filled out the survey for the incorrect Big Dinner Box order and heard from the manager the next day who offered me a free replacement order but then never followed thru with the promise.

I don't like posting negative reviews but something needs to be done with this location. Needless to say I won't be ordering from this...

I had food delivered to the assisted living facility that i work at. I called to place the order over the phone. The person that answered the phone was very rude. She kept asking the same questions over and over again. I would say and meat lovers she will say a pepperoni. I would say meta lovers again she would come back and say the cheese pizza. She continuously got the order wrong then attempted to repeat it and it would be incorrect over the 5 times it happened. I was close to hanging up and going somewhere else because of the lack of professionalism. I finally asked the worker is everything ok because i felt she pre occupied by someone else which is why she kept getting the order wrong. I literally ordered 1large pizza and a medium pizza and that took about 25 min just to place the order. Finally the order was complete. She then asked me how was i tipping the driver. I advised none of her business. She told me the food would arrive in 30-45 minutes. The food came in 25 minutes . I was pleased with food because it was still hot and fresh. The price was pretty steep i spent over 40$ just for two pizzas. My rating is strictly based on the service and not the actual food because that was the best thing out of...
