While I enjoy the generally lower prices of Aldi stores and have been shopping at Aldi for several years, the selection of this particular location in Ballentine has been disappointingly scant each time I visit. Basic grocery items on my list such as green beans, lemons, onions, chicken, ground beef, etc. are out of stock whenever I drop by. Even though I switched to shopping in the morning, I will arrive to a meat shelf completely bereft of any type of chicken at 10AM. Some weeks the store will not have navel oranges or other standard produce items, no matter what day I return. Since we are no longer subject to chain supply issues from the pandemic, restocking problems should not be occurring. Nonetheless, if the store will be out of stock of such items (i.e. chicken or beef) for days on end, the manager should place a sign stating so in that section.
Additionally, it is odd to me that the cart depository is located on the side of the building rather than in front adjacent to the main entrance. The extra walk is inconvenient and not accessible.
This location receives two stars from me because the staff I have encountered so far have been helpful and efficient. However, due to the major stocking issues, I cannot recommend relying on this store for all of your weekly...

I noticed a lot of Aldi first timers there, which is so great to see. I've shopped Aldi since the 90's. For any newbies out there: You don't "pay" a quarter to use the cart. The quarter only acts as a "key" to unlock your cart while you shop. You get it back, I promise! What you get in exchange is a tidy parking lot with no abandoned carts strewn all over the place, damaging cars. You can go across the street if you want that though! Welcome Aldi, we are happy...

Produce is fresh and they usually have your favorite items in stock. The bad: I see quite a few mothers (I’m sure fathers too) with their infants having to either leave them in the car or carry them to the cart corral when returning it. Should have a secondary cart return area out in the parking lot for this reason and it would be safer for vulnerable people walking alone in...
