FLOE Lounge — Restaurant in Irvine

An extra star for the food being delicious. Rant now:

FLOE Lounge is NOT large party friendly. Called and made a reservation for a girl's night out Meetup for 20 people. Asked for outside. They said each fire pit only holds 10 people, so they recommended reserving both. Sounds perfect. We arrive and only one is reserved. They only have two total. The other is occupied by a couple making out on a very awkward and public date. No reserved sign.

The server graciously agreed to split our checks, but the manager came out 20 minutes later and said the best she would do is 4 ways. If we literally walked into the bar, they would have split it 20 ways, but since we were 10 feet away outside the door, she said it wasn't possible. I asked what she recommended, as if people didn't have cash, I wasn't expecting anyone to miraculously pay for 5 people and hope to god they get paid back. She had no solution and seemed severely confused by the whole situation. Which is fair, because she seemed young college aged at best. I ran over the entire night so far with her.

So I had a reservation for 20 correct? Yes. Each fire pit only holds 10 correct? That's right. You called today to confirm my reservation for 20, right? We sure did! WHERE DID YOU EXPECT TO PUT THE OTHER 10??????? And now you expect us to figure out how to split a bill, that your staff member already agreed to do on our behalf.

Awful customer service. Skip your ladies night out for the stress alone. It took over an hour to settle the bill from the time it was dropped.

They do validate parking for up to 3 hours, but keep in mind by the time you settle, order (only drinks, until everyone arrives, their policy), get the drinks, order food, get the food, you hope to god they drop the check because it will take an hour to work with them to come up with a solution, as the manager had none, before your 3 hours are up and you owe the hotel $23...

Empty and closed and very clean but a quiet place to wait for room service. Covid has changed how busness travel feels. Limited staff that provided excellent service! The Chefs happened to be near when I was ordering and recommended the Brisket sandwich. This sandwich is fantastic and the brisket pub fries were awesome. Anytime a head chef comes out with a recommendation you know your in for a treat. Hotel has a decent beer selection next to front desk.I can't wait to come back just...

Parking is ok but if you don’t get validated it’s expensive. Seems like they have barely any staff so service suffers. Honestly it’s not the servers/ bartenders themselves at all, there’s just too many customers for a small bar and so you end up waiting longer. This is more of a gripe on the hotel. The staff is doing what they can. Drinks are about 2 to 3 dollars more than any local bar. Overall it’s nice but better...
