Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Irvine

Not one of my most memorable moments at a habit franchise but I won't go as far as saying that it was the worst place I've ever been to and won't ever come back. We came here after what felt like a long Sunday of hanging out with friends and wandering about at Irvine Spectrum to get some supplies and do some light shopping. Before heading home, decided to stop by this Habit establishment seeing that it was the closest one to our place and we had a couple of free charboil cheeseburger coupons to use.

Our order was simple, one two charboil cheeseburgers (both free using coupons) with one of them being protein style (she's very particular about her burger buns) as well as an order of onion rings. Once the order came up, I instead see two regular cheeseburgers both with buns and an order of burnt/overfried looking onion rings. I let the, possibly, manager know they messed up the protein style burger and he kindly took care of it and brought it to our table when it was handled. I'm not sure if they were in a rush to slab on lettuce to the order or if they're just not used to making protein style burgers, but in the end it looked like the ratio of lettuce to everything else was 2:1.

Needless to say, it might have been an off day for them and I'll swing by again to see if they can get their act together second...

Excellent, Service Cashiers were nicely greeting every customer two cashiers who gave me the best impressions were Marcella and Helena as Helena took my order and help suggest me with a decision of having my #1 original combo with (Half/Half onion rings and fries) I was completely happy she did offer me a drink and said please and Thank you which I'm surprised she was patient and kind As Marcella gave me my order she explained what I had ordered and offered me and Ranch dressings as a side before I even got to my question she beat me to it she smiled and greeted me and explained where the ketchup and napkins were at and told me "Enjoy Your meal see you soon" I was outstanded with this amount of service. Restaurant was clean it was pretty busy I'm assuming they had a busboy cleaning out in the dining room making sure everything was running smooth and calm restroom was marvelous coming from a fast food place my experience here was to good to be true Cooks we're talking having a good time the managers looked happy ! Honestly I thought the burger was just ok. Nothing to brag about. I had heard of the The Habit these past few years by Orange Co Register Reporter, Nancy Luna. She knows of it, from the time her and her family had traveled to Santa Barbara, where the Habit has been in business for years.

To me if reminds me of a lessor form of an "Astro Burger" a chain of greek owned hamburger stands that were located in LA County. Since this was my first time there, I just order the the single, without all the rabbit food, just meat and bun, as I just wanted to taste the real flavor of the meat.

As I said before it was just OK, more bread to meat ratio. Meat was your typical pre-made thin meat patty, with the meat being cooked well done, which for that size of meat burger, I think it killed the taste of the beef

Next time, I will try their "Santa Barbara" Sourdough Patty Melt and give them a second chance. I also see that parking can be a problem, as they share a small parking lot with other businesses next to them and the Chevron Gas...
